very few details are known yet.

- The plane took off from Kyrgyzstan capital Bishkek, en route to Damascus.

- It's reported that it was a Pakistani bound passenger plane later transformed into a cargo plane.

- When the plane entered Turkish airspace, it's reported to be warned for 1 hour, and later forced to land by 2 TURAF F-16s stationed at 8th MJB.

- The plane has landed on Esenboga Airport, Ankara at 15:43 by local time (UTC +2).

- the Police as well as TURAF officials are still searching the plane. But it's said that officials found "humanitarian aid sent by China." Plane later took off and flew enroute Syria.

Today also two F-16s conducting combat air patrol over Syrian border intercepted a Syrian Mi-17 flying close to Turkish border, it's reported that the heli have changed it's direction, at 5 neutical miles close to Hatay province of Turkey.

:hitwall: come on erdogan...whats next

It's just a sensitive situation in the Middle East and all precautions need to be taken. Relax...

I'm sure we're missing details and Turkey may have had intelligence mistaking this plane for another cargo plane.

This story doesn't sound right however...it was en route to Syria then they suspected it of weapons shipments to the Syrian regime.

Lets wait for more details. If someone is shipping arms, there is no way the Turkish Intel would not be told about it. Supplying arms to FSA through Turkey is 'legal' - as Turkey recognizes SNC as the only legit body representing the Syrian people and FSA as its fighting arm.
