Basically people say he's not a street smart guy and is easily manipulated. Its unfortunate that he took out his anger on Zeba Bakhtyaar (the chick in the video - his ex wife) on the entire nation.

Some of his comments like "Nobody in Pakistan appreciated my songs" were unfortunate since I remember buying his tape just for this song way back in 1990 I think

The thing is he was genuinely hurt by Zeba and the use of her father's influence to keep him completely out of custody of his child. His Pro-Indian/anti-Pakistani stance is more of an acting out of the same event. You can say he was mentally scarred and hence it can't be expected for him to think straight.

I disagree, I think his style is good, and he should stick to it. When you throw in a little bit of everything you become pop-crap.

You could be right as you being in Pakistan would have heard a lot more of his songs than me. I just heard a few that he sang for Bollywood and his albums. He for sure has a good voice but to me they all sounded very similar in style. I don't want him to mix n mash every different music style, just use a bit of variation.

The custody battle would never have gone sour if not for Mr Sami's father.. who became quite deranged and refused to let the mother have any part in his quest for custody till his death, stooping to death threats. Still ms ZB was an attendee at his funeral(as was I..weird weird family). They keep one of those dancing Adnan toys in their living room.
