RIYADH: Former army chief Gen (retd) Raheel Sharif says Pakistan will soon emerge as the economic power of the world.

He was special guest of honor in a program at the Embassy of Pakistan here to celebrate independence day of Pakistan, reported the Saudi Gazette.

Speaking on the occasion Gen Raheel Sharif said, “Pakistan is a peace loving country, it’s our beloved Pakistan and we have to work together as one nation for its progress.”

He said that Pakistan is a great country with full of talented people. “Pakistan has a great potential, wherever I go in the world and in Saudi Arabia, I feel proud of them. Pakistanis are known for their hard work and wonderful abilities and they have built their own and unique identity on the basis of their extraordinary talent.

“In order to further improve Pakistan and to bring Pakistan to the level of developed countries we must work hard with joint efforts and dedication because all milestones are achieved when the people become united and struggle together as one nation.”

He further mentioned that the progress of Pakistan can only be done with our collective efforts. “We must adhere to the teachings of Allama Iqbal and Quaid e Azam Muhamamd Ali Jinnah in order to ensure the development and the stability of our country. Democracy is flourishing in Pakistan and the democratic system is strengthening. We hope that the new government will do a progressive works for Pakistan and its peoples.

“Our progress is ongoing. I believe economic situation becomes better in those countries where peace and stability is better. Every overseas Pakistani is the ambassador of the country so each one of you needs to show higher values to highlight Pakistan in other countries of the world,” he continued.

As far as I can guess, it wasn't appropriate to do it in a way you suggest. In my opinion, many hostile forces were waiting for him to kick Nawaz out and then, Nawaz & Co. would have been playing victim card for life. Well, we lost more but at-least, are now getting rid off such leeches. Nothing is free Janab.
