One thing for sure, if there is no peace in Afghanistan, there would be no peace in Pakistan.

And 2 things for sure

if there is no peace in Pakistan, there would be no peace in Indian border areas with Pakistan.

So yeah.

It is time for both Pakistanis and Indians to do some serious introspection.

Peace or no peace in Pakistan isn't going to affect India much, the problems between India and Pakistan are of different kind which you usually refer as non-state actors.

The age of fighting war carrying a sword on horseback are gone since the day Europeans discovered that superior weapons are key to winning wars. British didn't invade India through Hindukush. So, talking about things happened 1000 years back is totally irrelevant.

Peace or no peace in Pakistan isn't going to affect India much, the problems between India and Pakistan are of different kind which you usually refer as non-state actors.

If Pakistan fails to control the taliban we will have major issues especiaally because of India's Muslim population a percentage of which have extremist tendencies - we will have a Syria like situation in our neighborhood and that will affect us and our security greatly. Pakistan should not lose its fight against talibaboons.

Pakistan do not have that clarity and instinct to destroy Taliban.

I hope they have that and are successful in destroying the taliban and the al qaeda lackey - the ttp.

But Pakistan is fighting militants locally whereas US and NATO are fighting in a country very far away.. so obviously the costs are going to be high..

Meanwhile Pakistan had deployed 70k troops in fata upto 2009-10 and only recently they were increased by 40k More.

vis a vis in Afghanistan upto 3lac Afghan national army troops involved along with 1 and half lac Coalition forces Both ANA and Coalition forces military gear is superior to Pakistan army troops

Majority of the pak army death toll is from IED's because of extremely less MRAP available.Shortage of fund to import from foriegn countries while the local solution are not this Good.
Meanwhile i hear that ANA has surplus MRAP's.


Of all of them,BE it ANA,PA or Coalition forces.USSR troops were the best against taliban.If it was not america and Pakistan a aiding them.I am 100% sure they would had made taliban past tense in Afghanistan which was much better for Afghanistan.

Problem with USA/NATO is they always will keep Afghanistan below its potential

You have to remember, the USSR army had only prepared and were equipped to do battle with Nato forces in the european and not with irregular fighters in the mountain environment. So I don't know how you can say their troops were best against Mujahideen.

Talibanism is an Ideology . period, And tbh it has taken roots in our land and we made this monster ourselves. we must strike at the heart of this enemy and that is the militant version of Islam.
re indoctrinate our people because of us have soft spot for this monster.
Once we finish the ideology only then we can finish these pests otherwise I don't see this bloodshed stopping soon.

Even though i agree with you but I didnt meant that pakistan troops are best against Taliban but rather the USSR.

USSR troops had a Good kill ratio against Taliban despite financially alot weaker than NATO/AMERICA,Not supported by the world rather the Taliban against ussr were supported by countries like America,Pakistan,Saudi arabia,China,UK,Iran and many more to name

Even the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar appears to sympathize more with the Taliban murderers than the innocent Pakistani victims.

To date we wonder how about 20,000 Englishmen were able to conquer India. At that time at least a few braves such as Tipu Sultan, Marathas & the Sikhs fought the British.Sitution is far worse today. Coward leaders including some TV anchors are asking what happens if Pak Army does not win?

We have a huge army but our leaders are already contemplating the scenario that 500,000 Pak soldiers wouldn’t be able to overcome 5,000 Taliban fighters! This is clear indication that these cowards have already accepted defeat.

Pray tell me how can you win when the ruling PML-N and PTI ruling KPK are begging Taliban for talks even though TTP has refused? This is clearly shows that nearly all the political leadership is scared stiff of the few thousand Taliban and lack the will to resist.

Just look at the posts of so many lovers of Taliban in this very forum. How they use Quran & Hadith to justify Taliban killings and turn to conspiracy theories. Some PTI supporters start personal attacks if their beloved Taliban Khan is criticized for his naïve stance of:

“Come on Taliban, you kill us as much as you like but we would only talk.”

If this is any reflection of Pakistan society, I am afraid that eventual victory of Taliban is almost certain. Allama Iqbal had correctly declared:

“Hai jurme za’efi ki saza margay mafajaat”. Meaning penalty of the crime of being weak is sudden death.

not true, there was peace in pakistan for decades while afghanistan was burning. but one thing for sure though, if there is no peace in pakistan then there will be no peace of india.
