I dont think a commentator has any religious authority for shaping our view point and thinking. He is least qualified for people like you and I to take his word and tout this “GAME” as such.
What if it was a match between an Arab and Pakistani boxer? Would you tout it as a clash of faith too? If not then it’s a blatant hypocrisy.
Once in Las Vegas prince Saleem made a big religious scene out of it before the match and was just plain arrogant and then he hit dirt and lost badly and gave other people chance to make fun of the faith. It’s a double edged sword and sometimes the comments of the other people wont be very sensitive to our beliefs so its better the sports are kept as they are meant to be “SPORTS”
