It's a just statement and I also like the fact that she acknowledge creating mujahideen and the likes who are the centre of all problems today.

All countries utilise terror in whatever capacity they can, the mujahideen carried out attacks inside Soviet territory at the behest of US and through the support of Pakistan.

Today these tools are used against our own nations and there should be realisation that such techniques always have future implications, albeit terrible ones.

The first step is acknowledgement, Musharraf rightly did so and said that the ruling class poisoned our society in the 80's, Clinton too has admitted their past mistakes.

In the same article Gibbs highlight the difficult partnership owing to lack if trust because US abandoned us after the demise of USSR.

Now we can move forward to end this extremist ideology that was promoted decades ago to start afresh.

Logic predates that you learn from your mistakes and boy did we learn. No one should use religion or an ideology to promote their interest violently.

I would rather expect from her a bit of logic when opening the hole that she calls her mouth, as we are the front line partner of theirs in their war. At least we have realized whats on stake and not run away like some cry babies when it comes to real fighting. as for now our GDP is around $450 billion and so their $2billion doesn't make any difference. we can still survive without their help! we did it before and we can do it again!
there are thousands of organizations working in india, they raise wayy more than $2billion for poor indian.......so i dont know whats the difference here!
even israel takes $3billion every year from US!
