WASHINGTON: A concerted chorus in Pakistan orchestrated by its jihadi-military establishment that India is behind its homegrown terrorist attacks is being trashed in the western media, with reputed commentators instead calling out Islamabad for its own record of nurturing terrorist groups.
The Pakistani allegations reached a crescendo this week following the attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda that claimed 21 lives, mostly of students. Although credit for the attack was claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Pakistan's military establishment, using prominent journalists and anchors as frontmen, alluded to the "Indian hand" behind the attack, as it did following the assault on the Army Public School in Peshawar last year when some 140 children were massacred by the TTP.
The charges have invited ridicule in the western media that is now all too familiar with Pakistan's dalliance with terrorist groups, which only successive US administrations have winked at for tactical exigency such as access to Afghanistan.

Time of India ??? enough said.

Even Sec. Def. Chuck Hagel is on record conceding that india's nefarious activity creates trouble in Pakistan....hell - even that certified Pakistan-basher-cum-alcoholic by the name of "Christine Fair" has written about indian diplomats quietly admitting to her that "millions are pumped" into fomenting unrest in Balochistan

the indians have failed at their game in Afghanistan, things havent been going their way and now they're simply around to play a spoiler role in the reconciliation process.....probably a reason why hardly any country takes india's "Concerns" into confidence vis-a-vis Pakistan. They know that Pakistan is key to their dignified exit. india is, quite frankly, a liability and nuisance. Many seasoned department of state officials (off the record) admit that indian diplomats are quite pesky and a handful to deal with. One can only imagine why

Me personally, i think it's time to take the gloves off. Especially after Pathankot and APS. We will do the needful to safefguard our interests and there's nothing these dot-heads can do about it - except of course mighty TOIlet articles and that hyper-ventilating school-girl by the name of "Arse-knob Goswami"

You should hear what the State Dept. officials say about Pakistan off the record - the most charitable among the comments is duplicitous ******. Speaking as impartial observer I agree Indian diplomats aren't well liked - they are at large considered to be whiny, pesky, petty, annoying and hypocritical but when the Indian Ambassador calls, Sec -State takes his calls no matter what time it is.

As for Pakistani diplomats - well people just don't want to deal with them - unfortunately there is a stigma attacked to Pakistani diplomats due to their shady nature. More than 50% of them are ISI plants and after poor Robin Raphael no one wants to be seen or photographed with them unless directly ordered. In Diplomatic parties Pakistanis are given a wide berth by all except perhaps the Chinese.

I wish they weren't so undermined by your military establishment - people just prefer to directly deal with the army and cut out the middle men if something important needs to be conveyed.

Among the Muslim countries, ironically most respect is for Iranian Diplomats - They are perfect Gentlemen despite their regime most at odds with the West.

Ciao

Nobody other is the reason of Pakistan's suffering but Pakistan itself. That's why Pakistan doesn't get support of the whole world whenever any terrorists attack happens in Pakistan. But Pakistani media and people always in denial mode.

Goebbels said: keep lying until it seems to be the truth! Probably in the year 2525 the world may finally be brainwashed into thinking that India is probably involved in the mess in Pakistan!! Until then they can keep trying and crying!

And those so called dossiers that Pakistan presented to the UN with great fanfare of RAW's involvement are now lying in the scrap heap awaiting incineration!!. People really ROFLed after reading them!!! Jeez!

With more imagination than evidence, Pakistani conspiracy theorists saw India behind both acts of violence on their soil," the Economist noted tartly on Friday, adding that "Pakistan offers no evidence of Indian involvement in attacks on its territory, whereas Indian officials have offered 'actionable intelligence' linking JeM to the air-base attack, and invited Pakistan to send its own investigators."

hahahahahahaha

Its Indian history to support/finance proxies against their neighbors.

1) Mukti Bahni in West Pakistan.
2) LTTE in SL
3) Tibetan separatist in China
4) Baloch separatist in Pakistan
5) TTP in Pakistan

Its the Indian nation which is brainwashed not the world.

In a devastating critique in the New Yorker last week, Dexter Filkins, who covered Pakistan for the NYT for several years, began a story like this:

"Imagine a country that is embroiled in a long and bloody conflict with its neighbor, and each time its democratically elected Prime Minister tries to reach out and make peace, his own army launches an attack to make sure the peace doesn't take hold. You might think you were trapped inside a dystopian movie. Unless, of course, you've been to Pakistan, where this happens all the time."

"For decades, the Pakistani military has backed insurgent groups whose express aim is to cross into India and fight. The ostensible aim of these militant groups, and of the I.S.I., is to bleed India into ceding control over Kashmir. This has never been more than a fantasy, but it keeps Pakistan focussed on something other than its intractable domestic problems, and it justifies the military's bloated budgets," Filkins wrote, noting "that the I.S.I. plays godfather to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, which appears to have carried out the Pathankot attack, and Lashkar-e-Toiba, which launched the operation in Mumbai—is beyond doubt."
