PM chairs tourism task force

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday chaired a meeting of tourism task force to explore the massive potential in tourism industry.

The task force has been tasked with exploring and working on bringing improvement in tourism.

It will help build a positive image of Pakistan and generate revenues for the country.

Biggest potential for Pakistan is Northern Areas and that requires a good infrastructure like quality hotels,protecting the environment to stop deforestation and have waste bins everywhere and impose tax like in Canadian rockies national park, KKH is very modern and a great road, but need similar roads like in Naltar valley which is in very poor shape, the road to fairy meadows is a death road, which needs modernising, the road from DIR to Chitral isn't great either, than there is a road to Parsan valley which is a beautiful valley on the foothills of Tirich Mir the highest mountain in Hindu Kush range but again a death road that needs to improve to tap the vast potential of tourism.
