HA!!! where are the Indian members who were going bananas when I mentioned that Pakistan and Russia will cross weapons purchases over a couple of billions within 12 - 24 months and that it would include Jets, SAMS and BVRs, a few months ago in a thread??

Twin turbines are coming to the PAF. Much needed capability. SU-35 would be a better option to go for. I would say, purchasing weapons from Russia should not mean to ignore a Fifth Gen Stealthy platform, may be through China. That will be much needed in the next 3-5 years for sure.

If I was to guess, it should be both. One squadron of SU-35's for Naval, supported by 2 squadrons of JFT is a very capable force. On the other hand, two air superiority squadrons working in conjunction with -16's and JFT's will provide a huge up lift against anything in the IAF's inventory. I don't like to suggest conflict, but the only reason the PAF is buying these is because of the IAF. Hopefully, both the nations can put their past behind and help each other through economic and wealth improvement and through peace.

Also, do remember that this may happen in chunks, i.e. they may buy 1 or 2 squadrons first and order 1 or 2 more in a year or so.

Konsay fighter jets bhai? PAK FA?

PAF is interested to know about Su-30M2 & Su-35BMs and Russia want to pitch Mig-35s, but those are just rumors. But even if Pakistan goes for Mig-35Ds as per comment of an IAF pilot on Russia Pakistan military collaboration, he said Mig-35s could end up in Pakistan's hand and it will become very messy for IAF as those are very potent platform and Mig-29 are operated by IAF.

Pakistan always come with surprises in case military hardware's, which is totally professional....
Chinese S20/041 Yuan Submarines are confirmed....
Russian MI35 Attack Helicopters are also confirmed....

But it will be cleared in comming days that, our 4th Generation Twin Engine Fighter Plane will come from China or Russia....

true, even a Chinese member here agreed with me that China should purchase 48 Su-35s keep 8 and resell or lease 40 to Pakistan keeping Russia in loop and it will allow Russia to save face from India. So if our govt. took that path then Su-35 are quite possible for PAF.

If PAF gets these babies they will be the biggest threat that IAF could face even more lethal than the 18 block 52

Forgot Su-35s your IAF pilot have commented on your news website that even Mig-35 will be big mess for IAF, and he believe Russia can sell those to Pakistan as they are not advance and potent then MKI's and that reason is enough to sell those.
