Pakistan to Kerry: We are worried about India

excellent question bro.. but expect denial from pakistanis.. they will say they never created taliban... and one day they will blame india for creation of Taliban and other islamic terrorists..

Technically, Pakistan didn't. Ironically, you refuse to reveal the name that created and funded Afghan Taliban, former Afghan Mujahideen staring at your face as they visit Pakistan and India. :undecided:

. .

He may get the credit. But that doesn't change the fact that the real creator behind the movement of Afghan Mujahideen which you so keenly ignore and yet, getting lost in thought of expected visit. The similar policy has been employed everywhere including South America and Middle East.

This group was dumped on Pakistan to deal after the war against USSR was over.

Pakistan didn't ask for Afghan Mujahideen, and similarity, Pakistan didn't ask for TTP either. Yet, Pakistan is fighting both groups inspite of several allegations so far.

# Play blame-game on Pakistan and turn blind towards ground-reality, but that won't change the truth.

@acid rain

While you so keenly fixated on Pakistan, perhap it would be nice if you open your mind about TTP funded by neighbor nation with love. :disagree:

If it was felt so strongly ,what was stopping Pakistan from going against them then like it has now ?

They were strategic assets weren't they ?

.
RAW is funding Afghan terrorists to do cross border terrorism which need to be stopped.

The whole concept of using tribals and Afghans is an old policy of pakistan. They employed them way back in 1947 against kashmiri to conquer.

As for the Mujahideen. Pakistan intelligence was on one hand taking billions from both US and Saudis to train, arm and use them to push their strategic agenda.

Madrasseh to brainwash these fighters, training camps and bomb, explosives and weapons experts were all PA officers..ISI managed them in their safe houses and managed a par elle govt of the taliban in Quetta.

The US used your services to forward their agenda against the soviets and paid for it handsomely...but the ops and jihadification of afghanistan was all pakistan's creation and management.

The whole pushing of terrorists to get strategic benefits against Afghanistan, US and India has already been conceded by many pakistani leaders.

So acting innocent about it does not really work.

The whole proxy game backfired badly.

India didn't kept around Mukti Bahini as a tool to be used somewhere else whereas Pakistan wanted to use their proxy in Kashmir.

You've got to give the credit to Mrs Gandhi for her adept diplomacy. She toured Europe and America to garner support. She did not get much on the ground, but scored high on sympathy. Without this Sam would not have had his campaign so easy. Her Emergency might be considered as the proverbial 'daag', but in 1971 she fulfilled her duties as a statesman very well.

Did Afghan taliban waged war against indian army in Kashmir ?

Every country resorts to things. There is no real high moral ground to reach, nor is there any benefit to it. Point is where do you draw the line? The Mukti Bahini (in contrast to the rabidly sectarian Taliban) was a highly secular force led by men who had good education, were liberals back in the day and patriots. Surely there were a few goons, a large organization by its very nature will attract some, but even they did not blow up Pakistani officer's wives shopping in Dhaka or did not kidnap Army kids studying in the convent schools who later sought refuge in the Intercontinental hotel.

The targets were specifically chosen from among Pakistani soldiers and their civilian militia (Al Badr/Al Nasr?). It was through in through out a military force, albeit guerilla in nature. The Taliban or the 'strategic assets' nurtured by Pakistan were far more than that.

Do you really think people here really care about what Mukti Bahini was or what it fought for?
