I got your point but here we are talking about those countries who have some say in world affairs and these nations have nothing to do with it. In short, EU, US, UK, Russia and US even with the China Indians are having much better trade relation.

FYI, being landlocked both Nepal and Bhutan have to rely upon India more than anyone else because of the important act that their nearest seaport for international trade is Kolkata. No one including China can help to change this fact since the all their ports are miles away for both these countries. So they don't have any other option but to be an Indian ally.

Where did India failed exactly ???? Maybe in relation with Palestine, GCC especially Saudi, UAE and OMAN ??? Can't you see the progress made in relationship with all of them over the years. If you still consider Indian diplomacy a failure, then we actually love a lot of this kind of failures. LOL

Only time will tell.
Pakistan fought a covert war against Russia in Afghanistan but now we are having bilateral exercises (despite various "concerns" raised by their so called "Ally"), Jet engines and helicopters.
