Pakistan to have 200 nuclear weapons by 2020: US think tank

what else can pak do? it cannot compete with india on conventional arms, so it has to fall back on nukes.

Conventional weapons? Ha dont make me laugh. Its your population that we are only worried about; you guys outnumber us 10 to 1; so we focus on anything that can neutralize your massive Infantry force. Like the Air Force and the Armoured Corps.

. . . .
It is Pakistan's right & Pakistan should continue her research on Nuclear Technology & take Nuclear Technology to next level.

. .
More is better it will make sure every inch is covered.

Downsizing? For example from 2,105 nukes to 2,000 in the case of the US? Americans and their double-standards continue to stoke my amusement.

...and let also not forget that Pakistan started with nothing.

The division of the British Indian Army occurred on June 30, 1947 in which Pakistan received six armored, eight artillery and eight infantry regiments compared to the forty armored, forty artillery and twenty one infantry regiments that went to India. At the Division Council, which was chaired by Rear Admiral Lord Mountbatten of Burma, the Viceroy of India, and was composed of the leaders of the Muslim League and the Indian National Congress, they had agreed that the British Indian Army of 11,800 officers and 500,000 enlisted personnel was to be divided to the ratio of 64% for India and 36% for Pakistan.

Pakistan was forced to accept a smaller share of the armed forces as most of the military assets, such as weapons depots, military bases, etc., were located inside the new Union of India, while those that were in the new Dominion of Pakistan were mostly obsolete.

Pakistan also had a dangerously low ammunition reserve of only one week.
We have come a long way since. Faltered, yes...but dragged ourselves football fields from where we started.

Chin up chaps. Got a long way to go.

you got huge amount of free hardware from lot of countries

WMD's will never ever come to use now.
USA did it in an era when it was the only country which supposedly possessed it and there was no one to counter it.
World power dynamics had much more evolution there after and so did the power sharing agreements.

So having 200 or 2000 makes no more sense. As no one will be ever able to use them.
Its just a ticket to get into the elite power status and which ensures that some seriousness is given to nuclear power holder.

To show India that they're a weak little nation that will be crushed and destroyed!

Pak aim is to only let live cockroaches in case of nuclear war, i wonder if this will back fire and Indians will survive somehow?

You are thinking to much, come out of street fight mentality.
With current high tech information warfare mode, most of the modern countries are very much aware of tipping point and countering it. Only if you could learn how things work on black tables, you would understand that. No country in current era will force other nuclear capable country to its tipping point before all the nuclear arsenals are taken care off. And if a country gets rouge, world power will align together to ensure the rouge is dismentaled.

So please come out of spoon feds of Lal Topi and his umbrella.

The way Pakistan is moving I think one day Pakistan will have nuclear weapons for even hand to hand combat. Think guns firing nuclear bullets :sniper:
