Electricity crisis will be solved in next 2-3 years hahahahaha they know they will not be in gov in coming years. They are running out of time. The only thing they did it to impress modi sarkar ..... other than that total they are more useless than PPP.

So one thing is fact now Experience doesn't make you better its intelligence

& they were not to good at that either

mashallah. PMLN is becoming Pakistan Masla League.

Sukar ha bus hawa he rah gayi ha warna ush k b qilat kar deni the inh loggon ne

Nah they did not spare air too, come visit Islamabad and see for yourself how much dirt is there everywhere. Thanks to genius idea of building Metro.

Isin't PTI a little bit ammeter & does it have a 'experienced team' like PML-N or PPP

Yep they are all experienced at how to play with emotions of people. They use people to show their strength on streets but won't rally people for sake of people's interest.

Well to be fair that's a good quality too

Have they achieved something good in KPK till now
Like Nawaz shows off his new & shiny Metro bus
PTI was supposed to make 350 small dams to generate electricity wile nothing is done on it as it was a mere election campaign salogan . Power shortage in the country is not because of PMln govt as it is just 1.5 years old . How can you expect to start and end power projects in just this short time .PTI fan boys are just immature and put responsible PM for everything goes wrong even in their personal lives . Nevertheless In this short time govt contracted TERBELLA 4 EXT hydro power project 1400 Mwatts which has completion time of 4.5 years , Neelam jehlum was a dead hydro project govt fast tracked it and it would be complete in 2016 1000 M watts . Nandipur power plant 450 mwatts is installed in this short time and will be fully operational in short time as it is being converteed into gas and furnace oil. This year in april may imported gas will be operational in the country by govt and 2000 mwatts dormat capacity of power will be tapped while 3600 mwatts cheaper power plants will be built which would be operational in 2 years . while during the upcoming visit of Chinese president coal power projects of 3200 mwatts will be started which will be operational in 2017/2018. in the upcoming 3 years there will be an end to power and gas cuts . PTI does not even have brain to understand this either . Fan boys will be fan boys ever .

What a stupid title vs topic. He clearly said if dams are not built then Pakistan can face water shortage?

So if you don't press breaks of car, you can face accident.

Oh good! Govt responsibility is tell a problem not a solution.

Dewa announces plan for smart meters in residents’ homes

Residents will soon be able to tell instantly how much water and electricity they have consumed and fix issues within seconds, according to the chief executive of Dubai’s Electricity and Water supply (Dewa).

Saeed Al Tayer said the smart meter would offer valuable and efficient real-time information to customers.

“If you have a technical problem with your electricity, you can have someone solve it within seconds,” he said during a talk on UAE Smart Cities Outlook at the Government Summit on Wednesday. “The objective is to have real-time maintenance and problem-solving but, for now, what we want is to have rational consumption of energy.

A communications network that connects the distribution part of service directly with the consumer is required.

We have 120,000 meters that got linked to the network two months ago,” Mr Al Tayer said. “We need to link to modern systems and household appliances to reduce our losses in electricity transmission and distribution networks as it will preserve our environment and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Our losses are down to 3.5 per cent, one of the best percentages worldwide, compared to six or seven per cent in the US.

He said the new meter would help the company and residents by spelling out the use of energy.

“This is an important aspect,” he said. “Today, a person can know exactly his consumption and carbon footprint that is consumed and this can give him a further incentive to improve the efficiency.”

Dewa is also aiming to reduce the time of interrupted water supply to customers from four minutes to two.

The four minute-mark was an improvement on last year and a 16-minute improvement compared to the world average,” he said. We have performance indicators, which are some of the best worldwide. Energy is the main pillar for any economy – if you don’t have a high and efficient power, electricity and energy sector, you cannot advance. So we are focusing on reducing from that number.

He said performance was constantly measured to ensure good planning.

“We hope to ensure sustainable resources for electricity,” Mr Al Tayer said. “We have to have a diversified source of power, especially by focusing on nuclear, renewables, clean and solar energy. We cannot just depend on one source of energy.”

In the future, Dewa plans to link households to solar panel grids, which will also reduce some residents’ energy bills.

Dewa will buy the electricity surpluses from the consumer,” he said. “So we are ready to buy this surplus of power and I think it will contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy. We saw in our studies that the price of solar energy should be competitive by 2020 and we have seen that, today, the price of solar energy is even less.

By 2030, Dewa aims to reduce energy consumption by 30 per cent.

“There has been progress but this does not mean we will reduce demands on projects,” he said, citing one specifically that aims to rehabilitate 30,000 houses in Dubai and turn them into smart houses. “It isn’t an easy task so we have started to create proper legislations for that.

“We also need services companies who are specialised and capable of transforming houses into smart houses, in lighting and automation of systems inside the house. Ultimately, the smart government objective is to ensure citizens’ happiness through efficiency, uninterrupted services and reliable information to improve their quality of life.”
