i cant find anywhere it mentioning the su-35 or eft. but since the articel is legit and think to your self which is the only available "sophisticated" jet available to Pakistan.
The article did not say that it is for immediate needs.
Infact it is probably for long term plans TFX or J-31.
For short PAF is considering only 2nd hand stuff.

@Zarvan stated that he got the jet info from a source who had attended the briefing to the Senate. This should be interesting...
there are alot of articles popping up with the same. i feel they are looking at a intern high end jet till the 5th gen kit comes.
kuwait signed for the typhoons and will get them in 3 years time oman had to wait 5 years for them the reduction in waiting time sudgest there is a need for more export orders for the warton facility

From what I know, it was never rejected. The J-31 was a private venture, and one meant purely for export purposes.
indeed. it was never made for domestic use but for export only.

can you even afford the typhoon? im talking the tranche 3a's here at £85 million a pop. mind you it would be a good idea to buy now as the Stirling is still weak.
heck if you had alot of money and lets say the uae was interested as well we can offer the 3b variant too.

Lol, dude...

what's the cost for 40 Eurofighters? $ 3 billion something? Maintainence infrastructure? $2 billion more?

What's $5 billion for Saudi Arabia?

Pocket money dude..pocket money..

the article didn't say they needed them in the long the term either.
so we have to use common sense then dont we.

are they willing to pay for you. if you bent over and went to yemen then yes they would, but you didn't, so its highly unlikely

I would have said the same sir but the recent CRIMINAL silence of all of the party, gov. and its ministers on the issue of Indian poking nose in Baluchistan and what is happening in Karachi with those MQM speeches is proof enough!! All those people are concerned with is what PTI is doing wrong or what Imran had for breakfast. What about what else is being done by Altaf sb in Karachi?? That is not imp it seems.

The Saudis aren't going to fund these, they're already in financial difficulties themselves. Even if they could, they're still upset that Pakistan didn't join their yemen war.

Well common sense says Su-35 is out of bound for PAF And EFT is too costly.
That leaves only 2nd hand mirages or viper in short term.
