bargaining strategy for pressurized Russians by EFT option.

If the US can be friends of both countries and provide arms to both countries, why not Russia? All we need to do is make a request.

don't u think, pakistan is already trying???

Ans is very simple...yes...... even they are trying to get other things too.. but problem is India and Russia partnership.

J10 is best option for PAK....... they should go for atleast 50 j10 fighters

The Eurofighters are pretty expensive compared to Russian aircraft. Even if both were upgraded with top of the line avionics and weapons systems.

The J-10 probably won't offer any more capabilities to the Jf-17 block 3.

@Zarvan in the end PAF may not end up with used M2ks & F-16s till 5th gen arrived. ;) :D

If you are on a budget then J10 is the best option, but Eurofighter will be a much better but expensive option

40 Typhoons or Su-35 LOl we can barely afford 4 .... I hope this ain't a troll :hitwall:

They can buy whatever they want to, I only listed jets that the IAF has a lot of information about.

IAF has comparatively lesser information on the J-10. So it's the least risky purchase.

PAF tested M2K in 1982-83, 1994-6(M2k-5 was tested), 2003-4(M2k-9 was tested)
PAF tested Su-27 and Mig-29 in late 1990 in Russia..
PAF tested Gripen for nearly 2 years in 2003-2005.
PAF tested Rafale for a year in 2003-2004.
PAF tested EFT for a year in 2003-2004.
PAF tested upgraded Mig-29 in 2005-6 in Ukraine.
PAF Pilots are flying Su-27, Su-30MKK in PLAAF and PLANAF.
PAF pilots are flying M2k-5 in Qatar airforce.
PAF pilots are flying M2k-9 in UAE airforce.
PAF Pilots are F-15 in KSA airforce.

Do you know why some aircraft are not allowed for exports?

Pak has info on old M2k and Mig-29, not the new ones because they are India specific. The MKI is also India specific, Pak has no info. But that's because India has the diplomatic and financial clout to make this happen. India allowed the sale of the MKI to Malaysia and Algeria.

Our M2ks are not as isolated as the MKIs, that's a loss for us, but our Rafales will be quite different in some aspects. We can live with such things as long as Pak doesn't have that info.

As an operator of the Flanker, the IAF has way too much information about the jets. That's the reason why the F-16 is not given enough importance in India even though we are talking about a Block 70.

And EFT has manufacturing defects. Nitpicking on small issues is not relevant.
some birds arent for sale due to the high risk in stealing highly sensitive equipment, the f22 being a good example.

or so you work for paf now, very nice, do you think paf generals just sit there watching game of thrones whilst india has the mk2 and the mig29 upgraded ?
the mk2s for the uae are incredibly advanced, they paid a huge amount of money to get them upgraded. the qataris not so much as the uae. and from what i have been told a huge number of the uaeaf are pakistanis.

every plane is specific to a country, yes. but its aerodynamic capabilities are not. also the mig-29m are all russain. heck even the Egyptains are getting better mig-29s than india. yes theres are new but your are being upgraded and not to their standard.

the russains can sell the mkm,mka or any sm export variant to any country they want and india can only write an angry letters and summon their ambassador. the only difference between the mkm and the mki is the avionics.

dont even bother talking about the rafale, your looking at post October now for signing due to the sub leak, wont be surprised if its next year.
every plane has defects, the iaf should know more than anyone. there will alway be problems with high end kit but in the end they will be solved. and have been. the f35 is a prime example of this.
