Pakistan to build new shipyard at Gwadar

there was offer from South Korea that if we buy t-50 they will invest in shipyards
yes, stx would build a ship yard if pakistan went for their t-50 for their lead in fighter trainer (LIFT). the t-50 meets pakistan's requirement and is therefore the preferred jet, but it cost as much as a jf17 and sort of does not justify procuring, as a dual seat jf17 would be introduced next year and that can do some of the LIFT requirements, which is supersonic training and engagements. but eventually a dedicated LIFT jet is required and the L-15 is the most likely contender, but there is word of the yak-130 also being a possibility.

PAKISTAN SHOULD ALLOW RUSSIAN SHIPS TO BIRTH IN GAWADER . . .
Agree, all the ships going in and out of Persian Gulf should have their supply or repair needs be provided
there if required, and naval forces of China and Russia should replenish supplies and exchange the Crews there.

Civilian ships? Sure. Military? Only for symbolic purposes.

The last thing Pakistan needs is to get involved in US-Russia bickering (again). Pakistan is already hard pressed balancing it's relationship between China and the US, adding Russia may push Pakistan off the rope. Not to say that Pakistan-Russian relations shouldn't grow, but it should only be about common interests and economics, nothing more.

Expanding the Gwadar Naval base to accommodate the PLAAN? :rolleyes1:

You Gan Pat Raiii !! Daily main raata ??? :p:

Pai jan I believe we have already done our sh!t with U.S.S.R. in distant past and now it's a story long gone from both ends but the reluctance still can be felt on both sides ... Again we can say that my keep us apart I believe we will play our part but it's not going to be like past even if one window operations took place in near future things would be way change from early times. I think we are more inclined towards neutral policy and realists approach in near and distant future after what we have learned after being played "beech ka vachola ".
You may disagree Bhai jan :)

yes they need jets for LIFT but t-50 and L-15 have higher thrust(or something like that) and they have higher per/hour flying cost as compare to yak-130.

It is a good step, toward the future we should look at making our own aircraft carriers and war ships. We are already doing well on our nuclear submarine project.
