Pakistan tests Hatf 9 Nasr Missile

The commentary by the fellow is suggests is suffering from pakistan hate syndrome, many "including myself" have praised the launch of Mars mission by India. Something our space gurus can learn from.

This is reply to someone else who said Pakistan's nasr test isnt reply to India's Mars mission.

A battlefield ballistic missile is a stupid idea in my opinion. Nuclear Warheads and their delivery systems are STRATEGIC ASSETS that are to be kept under a Centralized Command. A nuclear tipped missile with a range of only 70 km can't be kept under the Central Command.

If such a missile is to be deployed, then it has to be handed over to a formation commander near the border. WHO WILL TAKE THE LAUNCH DECISION If an enemy armored column is advancing? The Head of State, COAS, head of National Command Authority or the Corps Commander??

It is unthinkable that a Corps Commander or a GOC of a Division is to take the decision of using a nuclear weapon!!!!!

Thus only long-range strategic delivery systems are required which offer 2 advantages:

1. They can be deployed from bases which are under direct operational control of the National Command Authority. There would be no need for them to be handed over over to a formation near the border.

2. The launch decision will also be the sole responsibility of the high command.

How stupid of all the defense think tanks and tacticians of Pakistan, United States (who developed MGM-140 ATACMS 300Km, MGM 52 Lance 120Km), Bahrain, UAE, South Korea, Taiwan (who purchased MGM-140 worth million so of US$) China (who developed WS-1) Turkey (J-600T), Russia (OTR-21) and even India (Prahar).
If you had advised them earlier that would have millions of dollars.

Every weapon have its own utility at time of war. World have developed long range sniper rifles but you still need an assault rifle to fight a war.

Also it is not that these Tactical ballistic missiles cannot be armed with conventional warheads.

It does not get handed over.

&&
He does not make that decision; when the necessary and sufficient conditions are met, it will be taken and executed by Strategic forces.

Launch of system is not possible without verification codes, and the three man activation system is the same as for strategic weapons.
