Islamabad summoned US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale over a recent drone strike on the country's territory, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

US Accused of 'Violating Pakistani Sovereignty' in Taliban Drone Strike
NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — On Saturday, Washington carried out the drone strike killing Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Mansour near a remote southwestern Pakistani town near the Afghanistan's border. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif slammed the strike as a violation of the country's sovereignty.
"In the meeting, Mr. Tariq Fatemi pointed out that the drone strike was a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and a breach of the United Nation's Charter that guarantees the inviolability of the territorial integrity of its member states. He also emphasized that such actions could adversely impact the ongoing efforts by the Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) for facilitating peace talks between the Afghan Government and the Taliban," the statement read.

The foreign ministry stressed that Pakistan and the United States had been closely coordinating the anti-terrorist fight and the coordination had to be further maintained

So today is Tariq Fatemi is the de facto foreign minister, tomorrow it well may be Sartaj Aziz, the day after it could be COAS Sharif, or even PM Sharif himself. What a game of musical chairs.

As I've noted many times, post-9/11 UNSCR 1373 makes it the binding sovereign obligation of member-states to eliminate terror bases, terror financing, etc. from their territory. No action to do so thus nulls sovereignty in regards to acts against terrorists.

Then why did the US ask Pakistan to encourage Afghan Taliban to sue for peace and to bring them to the negotiating table?

I suppose the U.S. argues that Pakistan has the most to gain by a peaceful resolution and since the Talibs are based in Pakistan then Pakistani pressure is the best hope for peace. I am very critical of Obama but for years now he has only applied force when it becomes quite clear that the chances for a negotiated resolution have fallen to zero.

So why don't you agree to what Obama has to say about all the settlements and all other Israel-Palestian issues ? In that case you will never agree but only when it comes to Pakistan. Sad thing is we can't blame you or USA. Charity begins at home we don't have what it takes to be a strong, self reliant nation.

So this guy was for three weeks in Iran and CIA waited for him to cross into Pakistani territory so that they can shoot him.

They have intel on Mullah mansour but tons of TTP leaders including Mullah fazlullah is in Afghanistan and they have no intel on him until now.

Operation Zarb-e-Azb wiped out more than 4k+ ttp terrorists, Pakistan's army was able to defeat them because they were an organisation back by Indian Raw, ANA and supported by the US, they were not an ethnic race, Afghan Taliban are an ethnic pashtun majority race, they are not "based" anywhere as more than 3 million afghan pashtun live in Pakistan as refugees even to this day, wiping them out would be like wiping out your African Americans only in this case they are in the majority.

And the US knows that when it comes to ANA which is in the minority vs the Afghan Taliban, the Afghan Talibans will win so they asked Pakistan to pressure the talibs to sue for peace for them while simultaneously carrying out such attacks, most likely provoking the Afghan Talibans even more and sealing ANA's fate which the US wants so that it can put the blame on Pakistan and turn us as boogeyman for the world and to justify any possible future military operations.
