I would rather say that Afghanistan and India chose hostility with Pakistan based on territorial disputes and ancient grudges.

What I'm saying is showing in your trade with Afghanistan, and Irans complain with TAPI pipeline, Afg looking to bypass Pakistan through Iran. All these are not cheap shots. Which again comes to the original point, your issues with neighbors that are still dragging you.
