Just received the news, obviously ISPR is closed now, however if they are firing it towards the sea, it's bound to be a long range system. !!

In March 2015 Shaheen III was tested on same Coordinates

ARABIAN SEA. Pakistan. Charts BA 4071 and 4705. Missile firing will be carried out between 0400 to 0700 UTC on 09 and 10 mar 15 in area bounded by following coordinates:

(b) 25-16.83N 067-11.36E
(c) 02-00.30N 054-18.62E
(d) 02-27.26N 053-30.92E

Altitude 692000 Metres
Ships and Craft are to keep well clear and not to enter assigned danger area on above specified dates and time.

Interesting... The clearing of ships and crafts is a good indication that its a long range missile... It could simply be a more advanced version of our current shaheen missile systems bound with greater accuracy and/ or payload... Hopefully its a long range nuclear capable cruise missile... Heck I would take nuclear capable cruise missile alone to give us a nuclear triad.

Probably ballistic missiles......they go that high.

Could be a routine test for re-evaluation, testing.

Nothing to be too excited about.

We've got 2750Km range covered by Shaheen, so i wouldn't expect anything bigger.

more or less .... actually that 3K or 3K+ is a 'psychological barrier' which seems they don't want to breach but trying to inch towards it .... the thing which is more important in my opinion is the 'safety height' of this test, last time apogee was 692 KM ....

BTW @Windjammer can u get the serial number the SAAB-2000 AWAC which participated in today's PAF fire power demonstration that will surely clear one or two things about that mystery
