I love the railways in Pakistan. Comfortable and safe but people take buses. Buses have crazy drivers who take huge risks

train is govt owned and like other govt owned departments is marred with corruption. Buses are more modern and are available 24/7

the cheapest petrol here in the US is in Southern states an. Currently at 2.98 USD "US" Gallon here is Dallas Texas

California, NY etc. would be around 5 dollars.
Pakistani Gallon is more volume that US gallon, correct?
Inflation here in the US is over 6% here and going up in most likely hood.

Government had reduced taxes on fuel to zero. Now that government can collect some tax back , why should not they. ? As per your logic government is not supposed to go to IMF and not supposed to collect taxes than how the hell they going to run the country ?

govt wasnt charging taxes due to high price. First they will recover taxes and then reduce the price.
