Pakistan seeks Russian help in modernizing engine repair facilities & attain RD93 repair capability

Is it just me who feels that the title is Misleading? Its just an up-gradation of their vintage Engine repair facility and that too only if Russians agree.

India won't allow it, and worse- will sabotage it after making you spend a lot of money.

Realistically speaking.

No, not one chance in a million. We won't let it happen.

I guess a lot of people have misread the thread. It's about repair and maintenance of engines and not technology transfer. By the time we know repair and maintenance, Chinese engines will come on line. We will not waste money on a wild goose chase which you will try to sabotage. You may have some influence on Russia but you are losing it by buying American equipment and Russia is not too happy about it. That is why Russia is starting to sell some equipment to us. Even if Russia listens to you, what about China ? Do you have any influence on China ?

Pakistan Seeks Joint Plane Engine Development With Russia

Even the Sputnik Wrote it wrong Parrikar should Protest it with Russia,...

He does not need to, as being a graduate in metallurgical engineering from IIT Bombay himself, he is well aware that for a country to even dream of Designing and Manufacturing Jet engines it needs a strong Industrial and Research base in the country. Pakistan does not even qualify in any of these conditions.

It's not a question of 'influence on Russia'. We just signed a deal that's 4 times the total defense budget of Pakistan. So any competitive advantage that comes from Russian tech in the subcontinent has to be exclusively for us. It's a natural expectation.

And you know us better than ourselves through your Lungi Media :p: Kid grow up..Its time to look beyond slums of India..!

That is the best news. Nothing could be better an indigenously or jointly developed engine. It is the best outcome of Pak-Russian relationship. Engine development is critical and without foreign help it can take decades before we get a properly flight ready engine.

Yawn.... If one doesn't build any engine in the past doesn't mean it can't do in the Future... How many Engines India is building for the Jets? No wonder half of your Su-30 is grounded

I know your country better than you. I can challenge you. Tell me the number of research papers your country has published on Powder Metallurgy, Strong, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, thermally stable components. Give me the installed forging capacity of your country, give me one example of an engine marine or aerospace with limited power designed and installed by your country, give me an example of one turbine(Marine/Nuclear/Hydro or Wind) Designed by your country and installed. How many companies in Pakistan make aerospace grade Titanium, Nickel and Aluminum?

India makes the jet engines for all the Fighter Aircraft it produces under license and we have an Industrial base so sufficient that it can be now outsources to private companies with the Govt company being the lead integrator.
Yeah right, half of our Su 30 is grounded... haha

Wtf man...Are you nuts? Did you even read the title of the article? You made a claim I didn't...As for your questions for Research Papers? Don't tempt me to show you the reality..I am also doing Masters in ECE and I have been in touch with many Indians on FB Groups and online forums...and I know How these "Copy-Paste" Research papers works..so don't ask this silly question how many Papers are published in Pakistan or infact in whole Sub-continent, no doubt there have been a lot from NUST and UET LAHORE...but there is no point in this because more than 70% its just stealing and Copy Paste..I can get you contacts of your IIT Computer Engineers who will show you the mirror of how this COPY PASTE education system works in their own Uni...No wonder why there was more than 1 Lac Ph.D applications a company received for Peon Job in your country..!
I don't know about second and third question from you because its not related to my field...! As for last, my OWN uncle is running a company in LAHORE for manufacturing of Aerospace grade Nickel sicne 2005 and they have been supplying it to NESCOM and SUPARCO...!
So before you do any more BS have a look on the article title ..The Whole point for the thread was to LEARN and Develop Skills from RUSSIANS about Engine Manufacturing and Servicing but since you are an Indian and you can't control your rants I was not expecting a sane reply from you either...!

I have not just read the title but also the article. I guess you stopped right with the Title and thats what is making you rant senselessly. Oh I now get how complex your education system is. You claim to be doing Masters in ECE and do not even know the basic difference between a Theses and Research Paper?

Can you reveal your uncles Company Name that has been supplying Aerospace Grade materials? and you havent even answered my other questions. Come on don't be insane, be realistic. I am open to educating myself on Pakistan provided you are ready to educate me.

We won't allow Russia to sell RD-93s to Pak.

We won't allow MI35E sales to Pak.

We won't allow this .. We won't allow that!

The PAC representative expressed interest in having Pakistani engine specialists undergo training in Russia and their Russian colleagues helping modernize the company’s engine-repair facilities in Pakistan.

who says it's not our business? You sign a 25 Billion dollar deal and the watch tech transfer to an adversary twiddling your thubms, and then come and lecture us.
just take some burnol from nearby pharmacy..some butthurt creme will help also. Store and stock them. You will need a lot more in near future...just remember one thing India is dependent on Russia and not the vice versa.
