^^^ er,.... no
I will write a detailed response later.Right now i am going somewhere...
Long story short,Pakistan's Satellite Augmentation will be up and running before india at the fraction of the cost..

Plz Explain. How ?

#1. India Will Have its OWN Satellites ( Manufactured ON ITS OWN. )
#2. It Can Launch its Own Satellites

Now How come Pakistan's system can be Cheaper ?
( Of course Indian System ( IRNSS ) too is Cheaper that GPS and GLONASS , but then it has limited Area to Watch ; Just the IOR Region. )

In the mean time can you post any links about india's access to military grade GPS signal?

The Hindu : News / National : India strikes deal with Russia on Glonass

National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon took up the matter before this year's annual meeting between the two leaders and ensured that talks took place in earnest.

“The Russians, for a cost, have agreed to give us precision signals … we will be able to use weapons in a better manner,” said Indian official sources.

The Indian security establishment had set its sights on Glonass after it conducted a post-mortem of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. It found that the U.S. had blocked GPS signals to Iraq and then inserted erroneous signals that left Saddam's generals virtually blind as far as beyond visual range and sighting and targeting was concerned.

“We found that the Iraqi Army got misled and weapons went awry,” said the sources.

Every time there is high level India-Russia Summit, we read about India’s imminent participation in the GLONASS project. Can you tell us in what way India is cooperating with GLONASS at the moment?

There are many ways in which India is participating with us. The first is government to government relations; that is regarding the launch of GLONASS satellites and getting access to the military signal of GLONASS. Another cooperation that is going on is in making commercial usage of GLONASS signals for India and its people. This includes the development of the telematics business in India, the utilisation of GLONASS signals from receivers and other technology developed in Russia.

ye india is a partner in glonass, but what about GPS? Does india has access to military signals?

GPS is Free to All. We needed Military Grade Signals thats why we r building IRNSS and Are Militry Partners in GLONASS.
Our needs Are Fulfilled.

.PERIOD.

For GPS Applications u dont need to be partner of Every GPS Type System Existing in the World.

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) acquired by Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), with assistance from China, would become functional by June 2013. The GNSS is a set of navigation satellites orbiting the earth and providing a geo-spatial positioning service worldwide.
The system allows a small electronic receiver to determine its location using time signals transmitted from these navigation satellites.
Talking to APP, SUPARCO spokesperson Hassam Khan said that the GNSS had tremendous applications in the fields of surveying and mapping, precision agriculture, construction and deformation monitoring, transport and aviation management, mining and agriculture, computerised land management and administration and plate-tectonics studies.
Recognizing and appreciating the large number of important applications of GNSS, SUPARCO recently organized a symposium and gathered all GNSS stakeholders, including government officials, decision makers, entrepreneurs and academia to emphasize GNSS technology and its enormous use for the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
Hassam said that SUPARCO had been mandated to develop satellite technology and applications in Pakistan. “Technology is emerging in Pakistan rapidly,” he said, “Pakistan is rich in mineral resources and an efficient system of surveying is a demand of the industry.”
He said that computerization of land parcel had also been undertaken by the government and that the Civil Aviation Authority Pakistan (CAA) was also planning to deploy space-based and ground-based infrastructure for all phases of navigation line.
Talking about applications of GNSS, he said it included digital map production for road vehicle navigation, public safety and disaster management, mapping and resource positioning, mining and quarrying among others. Replying to a question regarding the economic importance of the technology, he said that the current market was worth $150 billion and was expected to increase to more than $220 billion by 2020, as per a survey of GSA GNSS Market Survey 2012.
“The GNSS technology has the potential to provide economic and strategic opportunities,” he said.
He emphasized the need for technology companies, academia, research institutions, investors and venture capitalists to help boost the use and applications of GNSS in the country.

Pakistan

Why do they need their own GPS???? What's wrong with normal american Global Positioning System. It works fine.

Pakistan does not have access to military grade signal of American GPS.
Accuracy of GPS isnt guaranteed,it can deteriorate any time.
Thats why Pakistan has agreement with china for military grade signal and launching a satellite in 2013 for guarateed accuracy round the clock.

Indigenous capability does not always mean cheaper and faster...

India's GPS augmentation and Pakistan's COMPASS augmentation will be ready to use at almost the same time, chances are Pakistan's will be ready earlier.
Possible reason, india has to build more ground stations than Pakistan due to larger area.

. . .
^^ Yes it looks like it.
The news posted by a member , says that SUPARCO is having a compact antenna testing facility.
Pakistans Beidou Augmentation will need special purpise built antennas to receive both Beidou and Paksat-MM1 (The most probable canditate for the GNSS augmentation).
Plus the antenas needed for the 5 ground stations arounfd the country.

.
Is Pakistan launching their own system? Or is this the Chinese system?

. . .
How we can use it for Military purpose ?

We will be receiving military grade signals that have very high accuracy and precision and will be reliable. This will enable us to use satellite guidance for our missiles and bombs.

Are you even aware of the IRNSS and GLONASS ?
GLONASS is Up and Running.
IRNSS is a New "Only for India" Project that has much wider reach across entire Indian Subcontinent.

Possible reason, india has to build more ground stations than Pakistan due to larger area.

This is Meaningless. Ground stations for GPS Applications ?
The Same ( Illogical view ) can be said about China, which has much larger area, which will be augmented by Pakistan.
Besides How can a single satellite be used for navigation when atleast 3 or more satellties are needed for Correct Co-ordinates .

Satellite is made in Pakistan by SUPARCO but Pakistan does not have satellite launch facility yet.
It will be single satelite on Geo stationary orbit transmitting Corrections for chinese Beidou receivers.
