Pakistan reportedly aiming to export another 100 Super Mushshak

Pakistan’s Minister of Defence Production (MoDP) Rana Tanveer Hussain was recently quoted by local media (The Nation, Dunya News) outlining Pakistan Aeronautical Complex’s (PAC) plans to export 100 new MFI-395 Super Mushshak trainers.

Coming off a spate of successful sales to Nigeria, Qatar, and Turkey (which accounts for PAC’s single largest Super Mushshak sale at 52 units), PAC is talks to sell Super Mushshaks to Azerbaijan and the Maldives.

Mr. Hussain added that the JF-17 multi-role fighter will also secure overseas sales in 2017.

The MFI-395 Super Mushshak is a significantly upgraded variant of the Saab MFI-17 Supporter, which was assembled from knockdown kits in Pakistan in the 1980s.

In 1995, PAC began developing an indigenously manufactured version of the Supporter. The MFI-395 is powered by a Lycoming IO-540 260 hp engine, which powers a two-bladed propeller from Hartzell.

PAC rolled out its first MFI-395 in November 2000 and in May 2001, it conducted the Super Mushshak’s maiden test flight. Since then, the Super Mushshak has been procured by many overseas users.

. . . . . .
Boy...I am delighted to hear this.
But should not go without saying that in country whose aviation industry has started to marking its marks on the global aviation map,Pakistan Steel, Karachi is shut. PAC should also take a step further and involve the upstream industry.

Karachi steel has never ability to transform metal to weapon graded alloys. May be my terms are not scientific but Karachi steel could only make "guarder tay T-Iron"

Of Course you are right. But than you have to have steel first, than mix it with other elements so as to get the required weapon grade alloy. The functioning of the Pakistan Steel can be considered as the step towards this direction.

really we should more focus on developing 4th and 5th generation fighting get . it must get similar kind of secret operations from agencies like we did when we are developing atomic bombs .....

first step is achieved " 4th gen with joint project with China" "JF-17" second incentive to start investment or to build 5th gen with China and third incentive to start project 5th or 6th gen fighter jets of our own "that is long way to go"

It is already in its ideal configuration as a basic trainer.
