Pakistan Rebuffs Indian Defence Minister Allegations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly rejected the allegations of presence of any training camps in Pakistan.
Reacting to the allegations levelled by Indian Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, the Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam termed these allegations as "totally baseless".
She said Pakistan is in fact fighting terrorism as part of international coalition and this role is recognised by the comity of nations.

As was reported 'Pakistan Times' [Daily Web Newspaper] in its edition of Wednesday, March-10, India's defence minister Tuesday rejected a call by Pakistan for troop cuts in held Kashmir to push forward a slow-moving peace process, saying attacks by "militants" must stop first.
"We will not reduce troop strength Jammu and Kashmir," Pranab Mukherjee said here. "A reduction of troops depends on the security scenario," he added.
President General Pervez Musharraf had urged India to reduce troop numbers in the Kashmir towns of Srinagar, Baramulla and Sopore to speed up peace talks between the two nations that began in January 2004.
