Pakistan ranked least competitive country in travel, tourism in South Asia

.
India's world renowned on the web for sexual-assaults against female tourists, how its placed so far above the rest is beyond me (especially above Turkey)

Them cops love pot too. You'll be surprised at the amount of narcotics left off the files by the ANF :)

Use PM Portal to convey this important message.

I can assure you ANF does not play around. Thats why law abiding citizens have to go to Afghanistan and Amsterdam for it.

Why these people want foreigners to visit Pakistan

Maybe they have Shops where they sell hand crafted Star wars figuirines?

Or maybe some food Restaurant

Or maybe its cultural myth of travelers bringing good Fortune.

So many possibilities.

What happened to all those vlogs about Pakistan from white people. Government Paid?

Some of them have moved on showcase How beautiful Syria is and how hospitable Syrian people are.

I would have said jal jal ke kalay math hojana, but since you are Indian you probably can't get any more kala.

F*ck off Indian you are stinking up the whole forum.

Yep because paksitan is very very dirty full of filth.
And very under developed. Unless this changes there is no hope.

My chinese friends visited from china and they were so shocked to see garbage and filth all around in fields and road sides and near water.

They said they had never seen such a dirty place even on tv. They said they now think even afghanistan and Africa is better than pakistan as they are cleaner and natural.

I never thought about it until they said it to my face.

I as a pakistani am very ashamed.

You know these sort of rants are much better suited to twitter. Rather than derailing threads, you should tweet this. Or create a seperate thread to slate the PM on.

=========== back to topic =========

Not surprised Pakistan isn't very competitive for tourism. We've hardly tried for years and years. I don't know what these people measure but there are some things Pakistan could improve.

What are we doing well?
  • We have airbnb, uber, Careem, booking.com, skyscanner so the net savvy traveller can get around and book tours.
  • We have a good road network.
  • Food is cheap and there is great cuisine, big name brands are present
  • A lot of people speak English
What we need to improve
  • public transport is not great and tricky to navigate. should be at least linked to google maps and e-booking for tickets.
  • Good hotels are expensive, poor hotels are abundant.
  • Health and safety is completely absent from the food market. We don't want to get a reputation, like Delhi belly.
  • drinking water is unsafe
  • Not enough people speak english outside of the bigger cities and towns. Tourists in rural areas will struggle.
  • We can't do online booking for tickets to historical sites
  • We don't have a big presence on trip advisor
  • We don't have many big tour operators or deals with tour operators abroad
  • prices aren't fixed in many places/shops
  • in rural areas people aren't acustomed to tourists. in and around regions where we expect tourism we should provide locals some cultural sensitivity training
  • our government website isn't very good, doesn't provide travellers cultural sensitvity training or other handy tips.
The easier we make travelling in Pakistan, the cheaper it is, the more likely we are to get tourists.

You made some very valid points, I think marketing is key and that also leads to a positive impression of the destinations. Pakistan has some of the most beautiful and affordable destinations and great friendly people. Countries like India have been marketing themselves for decades so no surprise they are well ahead.

Should that be a surprise after all the devastation and carnage that we went through? What is even the point of mentioning this? We are branded as the main threat to the entire civilisation. On top of that our so-called allies backstab us on every opportunity. It is a wonder that top vloggers are visiting Pakistan today.

Nepal is fucking beautiful country.

I heard Nepali women are trafficked massively to India. Is this true or is a lie?

we dont want to be a human Zoo.

sorry

Now I understand that we shouldn't become just another travel destination where everything is like a zoo, but human zoo is a bit too far in my opinion.

India's world renowned on the web for sexual-assaults against female tourists, how its placed so far above the rest is beyond me (especially above Turkey)

All such dick measuring lists are basically BS. Anyone with common sense can figure that. We don't know the methods used to collect and analyze the data.
