The economically weaker country is always on its knees. The GFP gives so much value to man-power. While man-power is definitely a strength but if a country has no industry or no ability to give jobs to that huge man-power or feed them then that becomes a liability.

Pakistan is in top 20 only because of nukes & man-power.

Otherwise, its laughable that Japan or France are behind Pakistan.

Japan has 36 Destroyers ( average 8000 tons latest AEGIS based destroyers )
Pakistan has ZERO (but According to GFP inaccurate data it says Pakistan has 2 destroyers )

Even if they are considering an old relic type-21 frigate as destroyer (only 1 is active as of now) then its clear that GFP does not compare the technology / tonnage / fire power of each assets. Its just assuming that 1970s 3000 ton ship is equivalent to a beast 10,000 tonnage of 2022.

I don't tend to take these lists seriously, but if there is one nation that deserves to see a rise in its power ranking, its Ukraine.
