LAHORE: It seems there will be no good news for passengers as 50 trains have been closed, Geo News reported. There is no diesel to run engines beyond Tuesday and officials who met President Asif Ali Zardari returned in an effort to seek some respite from the crisis disappointed.
According to Pakistan Railways officials, cheques issued to PSO, WAPDA and Sui Gas bounced and electricity to 30 stations has been shut while gas connections to 30 railway colonies have also been disconnected.
Officials add that employees have not been paid their salaries and they are protesting against the non-payment across the country
