Pakistan problems and its solution?

Stop hiring most of your troops from a single area. Forcefully limit this and induct equally from all over. Even if it leads to vacancy for couple of years. Coup-proof your Army. Rest will follow.

For nearly 2 years we are watching Pakistan economy in crises, laws being ignored, constitution violated, political parties at each other throats, hatred between people at high levels. We can all take sides, point fingers, give up on hope and dreams but this won't make anything better. We need to work towards unity and reach a common goal.

What are the solutions best for all, where everyone is happy

South Asians in general all over, gloss over these compared to Westerners given our outlook towards life. South Asians prefer a coherent structure, and it doesn't matter if its good or chaotic or even worse.

In opposition the West has over time progressed towards respect of a individual, rather than a group or sometimes even country. There is a fundamental difference in outlook towards life in general here, so we can't expect a Eastern Democracy to be mirroring a Western Democracy.

Further to above given East's follow the West concept given the past, lot of cultural norms got trampled and things got messed up in setting up democracies. I mention this not to uphold the past or glorify it, but to point out that any change brought in forcibly through law (rather than awareness and then consensus) will start to produce fissures in society (they can actually go hand in hand though, but based on issue one has to move slowly or quickly). Its like pushing down a exploding volcano forcibly, and the lava inside will start flowing in multiple directions to release pressure. This will be found in any civilization that is old and has stalled over time, as resistance to change is in human nature.

The above is very important to understand problems of East, first and foremost. Why? Cause you can't ask a Easterner to think like a Westerner, or vice versa at baser level. Both civilizations have evolved in their own way over thousands of years, and its ingrained in each perhaps even at a DNA kind of level by now.

Now moving on:

To find solution to any problem, we (and I mean Pakistani's) first have to accept that there is a problem.

Most Pakistani's didn't think Pakistan had a problem structurally, till Khaan saab's downfall began. As much as I will be countered on this, one can't deny that not all Pakistani's feel this way even now do they?

There are differing opinions, as the opposition parties and their supporters, are doing schadenfreude and rejoicing Khaan saab's plight.

I am mentioning this just to show that, even on the acknowledgement of problem there is no consensus among stakeholders. Without this there is no way forward to the solution everyone seeks.

Bad governance, Poverty, misplaced priorities, Corruption, No rule of law etc etc.. these are all symptoms of the structural issue and the not the main problems.

As much as one talks idealism and individual rights in democracy, we have to agree that its the Elites who lead the change. This holds when one is trying to reform a system from within, as am not talking about uprooting the system itself.

So its the Elites (as in Political Parties/Judiciary/Financial stakeholders etc) who should be coming on a single page, to discuss and setup some form of change to ease Pakistan's problems. If all others come on one page, am sure even the PA will have to make some concessions. As long as there is no consensus, they will be a cat between two or more fighting monkeys.

There is only one solution. No Military interference in government affairs at all.
Very apt and to the point assessment in two lines. But, they have tasted the blood and unlikely to let go.

One major issue with Paksiatn is also, not being ready to keep the head down and focus on task at hand. Focus on better economy, education, centres of excellence etc, It wants to compete with India on each and every aspect, because, it sees itself as an equal and as capable alternative to India. It goes back to partition when both the nations were carved out as equals.

Request people not to pounce on me for saying that you are not equal. As a nation, Paksatn is definitely equal to India but that doesn’t mean that it has to compete on every aspect. Match step to step.

Pakistan has a big problem of FINGERITIS. It wants to finger everything around it. It thinks that it has all the right to do so, because, it has assumed everyone is out there to plan and destroy you. Rights are fine, but sense of REALITY is also important. Afghanistan is one major example of that keeda. One General decided to have strategic depth into Afghanistan. And see where we are.

Then fanning internal troubles in India. Zia started this policy, which was carrried forward by many after him. Paksiatn assumed, it had all the right to do so. Not one sane person questioned that policy, which led to world glare and eventual financial demise.

People have been brainwashed to consider “eating grass” but not give up the sovereignty of the nation. Was sovereignty, ever at stake? Who created this demon that prompted few generations to believe in giving up eating chicken and be ready to ”eat grass”?

STOP ATTEMPTS TO CONTROL THE NEIGHBOURHOOD. FOCUS INWARDS.

Every Nation does some myth making and enemy building, in its formative years for nation building exercise. Things slowly normalize over time, as awareness grows and relations develop on external front.

The Chief driver of this narrative never moving out of its power position, has perpetuated this narrative and outlook to Pakistan's detriment unfortunately, as it effects the neighborhood as well.

Post 75 years we both should have had some sort of working relation, but its nowhere to be seen.

Ok, Give me the enemies of Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand. A few countries from your neck of the woods.

None of these were formed in past century and in a bloody way, like India and Pakistan.

I was mentioning about the concept of Nation state in general, which succeeded tribes or groups.

These nations, also didn’t have the ambitions of competing against a larger neighbour, in each and every field like Paksiatn. They also didn’t create non-existent demons and adversaries and then create more problems by trying to tackle those demons.

Paksiatn had and has issues with India, but it exaggerated them to unnecessary dimensions.

Hang the Military Generals, Hang the corrupt Politicians, hang the Corrupt Judges, Hang the corrupt Police Officers.... Then talk about reconciliation.

Colonial mentality of our mil-establishment

It will lead to more problems and who will prosecute them. Pmln? Ppp? SC? I highly doubt it.
How to do is next step but first step is to agree on the agenda to control the unlimited power of establishment which is beyond accountibility

It has to start with putting the people responsible underground.
That includes,

Army
PPP
PML
MQM
BAAP

The only solution is to let people suffer the consequences. For decades, the people kept voting in PPP & PMLN who would give lollipops in form of roads & drugs in form of subsidized rupee. The plan was to push the debt to later generations to pay off, but enjoy today and screw your kids future. Well now the kids have grown up and they have to pay for the mistakes of previous generations.
