With that much coal and thermal potential Pakistan should be self sufficient on its electricity requirements

its all our mistake that we continue to elect impotent Parliamentarians those are failed to make consensus on a singly bloody dam, let Kalabagh aside... Every Pakistani should elect best candidate

Yes there is much potential but it is very expensive to setup a coal power plant these days. As I said before the government will need to kick start coal power plant projects and maybe have a joint venture with private firms.

I am sure you are aware of the state of individuals in Pakistan. I have seen corruption in all forms be it a fruit seller or a tycoon selling other necessities. Until we get our act together and work as a nation for the good of humanity we will be gifted with such leaders (also these leaders are from the nation).
I keep saying people need to start working together and rather than creating problems start solving them.

It just needed a will. When they showed their will chinese along with Engro start to make investment in thar coal. they all know they can double their money from thar coal power project ....

Corruption flow like water downwards , If politicians are corrupt then you cant complaint about a fruit vendor ...

Yes success of Engro project will mean that everyone would be interested to invest in Coal.

I disagree with the 2nd part. The problem starts at individual level not at leadership. We as individuals are part of the problem and the day we start acknowledging this we will start to improve the situation.
