Sir, we have our own uranium unlike you & enough reactor outside IAEA safeguard so it does not problem for fissile material.
Experts believe currently we we have enough fissile material to assemble 1000 warheads but does it worth it except eating more funds to maintain those weapons.
Even China only maintain 250 warheads.

India has much larger uranium, thorium and other nuke material reserves and uses more uranium and other nuke material than Pakistan does and given that India has a civil nuclear deal that Pakistan doesn't have, the amount of nuke material available with India must be much higher than Pakistan's, then how come Pakistan has more nuclear bombs.

I was imply the same...civil nuclear deal frees up uranium and other nuclear material for military purpose.

They asses it from the availability of the raw material that you can process with your resources----and they are very very close---maybe conservative at times.

I'm confused now. If that is the case, then India has more suppliers as well as supplies. India has more reactors. Then why would anyone consider the number of nukes present to be less ?

GENEVA (Staff Report) – In the list of ten countries with with the biggest nuclear arsenals, Pakistan stands at number six, where as India stands at number seven.

Switzerland based organisation International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) published the names of ten countries listed according to the the number of nuclear arsenal they possess.

While Russia and United States topped the list with 7,500 and 7,200 nuclear weapons respectively, Pakistan came sixth with 100-120 and India came seventh with 90-110 arsenals.

ICAN is a global campaign coalition working to mobilize people in all countries to inspire, persuade and pressure their governments to initiate and support negotiations for a treaty banning nuclear weapons.

Well Pakistan should take the number to 500 at least. We also need to develop ICBMs.

Easier said then done my friend. Having the current quantity of nuclear weapons has been a drain to the economy and diverted much needed funds from neglect areas such as heath care and infrastructure. To be frank no country ever needs more than 20 nuclear weapons forget having 500 or even thousands. The chance of using one is .00000001%. As a result your throwing money down a well. Instead focus and strength the convensational force. In a time of war no leader on earth has the balls to issue the launch command.The current strength of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal is more than enough to keep predators at bay. Our only real threat is India, which our nuclear weapons cover more than adequately.
