Pakistan ordered AKINCI UCAV. Pakistan will be one of the first users of the AKINCI system

.
If an entire squadron strength of Akinci is raised - a detachment of them and TB2s could wage a fairly “affordable” bombing campaign in Afghanistan against the TTP for a good 3 months incessantly
That would be the second step. The first would be monitoring tracks and movement in mountains, plains, shrouds, valleys and hills of Baluchistan to detect and track movement through sensors in the sky.

I sometimes think 44 LID has barricaded itself inside Gwadar fortress.

Pakistan starts UCAV ops in Afghanistan on basis of retaliation, not pre-preemptively.

.
More so from a cost perspective. Manned assets with their additional weight and pilot inside can be kept for more intense conflicts while insurgents in both Balochistan and TTP in Afghanistan can be hunted left and right at a much cheaper per hour sortie cost.

More so, these can come in very handy in long loitering ops in Balochistan, where you need to scan the terrain for movement.

Also, to provide aerial cover to troop movements.

. .
It's alarming that Pakistan barely uses armed drone systems against terrorists on its own territory. I have a hard time understanding the reservation. Drones literally pushed PKK out of Turkey. The organization practically collapsed in SE Turkey - a terrain similar to Pakistan's Western regions - and is now active in Iraq and Syria. What's holding back the security forces of Pakistan? Is money an issue?

I suppose you are bitter about the political changes that happened few months ago.

May I remind you we have a parliamentary system. We have 342 members elected by the people of Pakistan. It is constitutionally legal and democratic for MPs to form a new government. The system allows you to do that.

Now you may question or argue that they are "bought". Well in that case PTI itself "bought" politicians from pretty much everywhere when it suited them. Did it not? It's fair to say if a single individual such as Bajwa is responsible and was up to no good (there are patterns to indicate as such), perhaps Niazi should not have given him an extension.

Pakistan Army with all its flaws and issues is still the most important institution in the country. It is what keeps the country united. Sure we are not capable of invading a country and our financial restrictions predicate that and I don't believe that would be an ideal foreign policy for any country to have in the first place. But having a strong force is a requirement and vital to at least defend yourself. A country like India would have to think 10x before it does something.

people must understand what does derailment of a govt is to the people and what damage it done not only to the economy but also to people.

we jump atonce to the conclusion, how incompetent Pakistanis are in every field of life. we ever think about it what is given to them over 75 years of history besides political and economic instability?

every time marshal law bring a new change to the society to its own liking and give a different direction to people and masses always follow what they are put into by hook or by crook.

had we let political process continue for those 75 years, people would have get matured and learned by now what is good and what is not for them. and these filthy politicians, they found their fate with their pants down who always hide behind military rule imposed time to time to fool people.

those interventions did not let people develop their political thinking, it is people who do the accountability and not someone else.

people with senses know what we lose and how we lost a whole thought process in the eighties due to an imposed regime. when you change the names of the roads or places from your colonial past it is a petty thinking of a conservative mind and what do you think you are getting rid of? you get rid of everything but slavery.

what ever you do, master and slave mentality never goes until a nation establish it self into a Nation with its own efforts and struggle. same struggle was snatched from the masses due to hindrances to the political process.

we have to live with it and until this intervention is not over we will be talking even after 75 more years.

They're the reason we're buying this from Turkey instead of developing this in-house. Their love affair with 2 families and land patches has destroyed everything, including education; that is necessary to produce these drones.

According to the information obtained by SavunmaSanayiST.com from defense sources; Pakistan has ordered both AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA) and Bayraktar TB2 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SİHA) to BAYKAR. Thus, Pakistan Air Force will be one of the first users of AKINCI TİHA.

AKINCI TİHA, which has been in the inventory of the National Intelligence Organization and the Land Forces Command, is expected to be delivered to the Air Force Command in a short time.

AKINCI TİHAs delivered to the MIT and the Land Forces Command are in the AKINCI-A configuration equipped with the Ukraine-made Al450T engine; AKINCIs to be delivered to the Air Force Command will be in AKINCI-B configuration with 2x 750 horsepower engines.

According to the information received, BAYKAR has so far signed contracts for the export of AKINCI TİHA with 4 countries and Bayraktar TB2 SİHA with 22 countries. Pakistan will be one of the few countries after Turkiye that has both AKINCI TİHA and Bayraktar TB2 SİHA in its inventory.

While it is estimated that Pakistan will have AKINCI-B, BAYKAR is expected to start overseas AKINCI TİHA deliveries, at the beginning of next year.

On the other hand, Bayraktar TB2 SİHA, which has been produced more than 300 so far, has proven itself in the most difficult battlefields. Currently; Bayraktar TB2 is actively used by the Turkish Armed Forces, the National Intelligence Organization, the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Forestry.

A significant increase is expected in Bayraktar TB2 SİHA production capacity with the new production facility of BAYKAR, which is under construction.

Reality is there is a paindu culture brewing in Pakistan and among Pakistanis. People who had bicycles got Land Cruisers, people who never went to college or university forged their degrees, and professions which were respected and running on merit became hijacked by individuals due to grudges and jealousies. I guarantee if you ever get a chance to encounter even some overseas Pakistanis, you will find many do not want to do hard work. They'll be satisfied with the life of driving Ubers and retaining child and other benefits from the government. Everything they do is a shortcut.

Having said this I believe the root of the issue is not institutional but rather a cultural one. Everything about our people is a lie. If someone believes corruption is only in government then I would say they are just naive. You will find corruption even at the lowest level of society. Everyday if you read local news you will see siblings killing each other for land. The famous saying by a former American government official that Pakistanis can even sell their mothers is absolutely true. These stereotypes develop for a reason.

I agree with your opinion. Had we let the political process run things would definitely have been different. But only the type of setup which was in the 50s and 60s. Though military dictatorship, Ayub Khan's leadership put Pakistan in the right place. Every single institution was running on merit and successfully. Things started to fall apart in the 70s and beyond when paindu jiyalas became rich overnight and since then we have not recovered from that. The Army like I said despite it's flaws and issues is vital. I do not agree with their angrazee culture but they have a system to correct deficincies in paindus. If anything I recommend the idea of everyone in the population serving in the Army for few years after the age of 18. Make it mandatory just as it in Turkiye, Germany, and South Korea. We need a disciplined population.

The procurement of too many types doesn't make sense from the perspective of supply chain, inventory and maintenance.
@Bilal Khan (Quwa) do you think these will help us in improving our indigenous products?
