like 28% of rich and 95% of poor do it in open, that means out of 4 atleast 1 techie from software company goes out and poop in area where he gets a wifi connection so that he can check whatsapp and facebook. Seriously ???

At that rate, atleast 35-40% of people living in metros poop out on streets, that means at least one in 3 person in your neighbour must be pooping out ...its like WTF ..

In Pakistan 25 million people openly defecate
so that leaves 953-25= 928 million people.

Now the whole population of Bangladesh, Srilanka and Nepal combined is about 205 million...
so 928 million-205million=723million people are without proper sanitation
Now we don't know if that is the figure for open defecation or lack of proper sanitation.....but India is the remaining country of interest here.....hmm.....i wonder what our Indian members have to say?

In order to separate from India you must create a total cultural divide. That only happens if you have a strong media and it can be done and it should be done.

Big congratulations to Pakistan. But the data is not surprising at all, at least not to those who had kept track of the social indicators of South Asian countries from the 90's. India, despite its rapid economic success stories has failed miserably in terms of improving the living standards of its poor who constitutes a vast 70% of the total population.

Primary reasons may be summed up as a collective result of State inefficiency, misplaced priorities, inadequate fund allocation and lack of democratic debate in social media; As a consequence the basic health care and primary education are the two most neglected issues leading to this precarious performance. India already ranks way behind Sri lanka and Bangladesh in many social indicators and unless the government pays urgent heed to this It will fall behind even Nepal and Maldives as the trend indicates.
