Why troops ? It should be police, at least one in each voting site.

Pakistan can use Rangers, Troops from different military branches, with support of other Institutions under Federal.

Okay even if its the case 2008, Pakistan was in much worse condition why Pakistan was able to hold these elections.

If Military was facing such shortage was this was never brought up before and State bodies were informed.

We have more rangers then police (3 lac vs 3 lac 60,000)
But rangers are what govt is asking for they come under military control

Apparently 1 million troops aren't enough
Pakistan 660000 troops along with 3,60,00 Para military troops are not enough to cover elections in two provinces.

Instead Pakistan will need 2 million troops for elections in all provinces

How many DHAs and Askaris would that meed? By that rate they will bulldoze all graveyards to claim it as DHA.

Pakistan needs a Smaller full time military and National service every citizen does 2 years military service to meet manpower needs in times of Crisis. If half of our population knows how to fight that would be a deference on its own.
