Pakistan Navy & Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) successfully ensured recovery of stranded crew of Merchant Vessel SUVARI H during joint rescue operation south of Karachi

PMSAs Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre received the report that Merchant Vessel (MV) SUVARI H which had sailed from Kandla, INDIA for Bossasso, Somalia got stranded approx 180 Nautical Miles south of Karachi along with 18 crew members onboard at sea. Pakistan Navy in coordination with PMSA, immediately tasked ships & aircraft to provide assistance 2 stranded ship & save lives.

Pakistan Navy & PMSA aircraft, after arriving at scene of incident. dropped life rafts for stranded crew at sea & coordinated their recovery via nearby Merchant Vessel MT ELAN VITAL.

Up till now, 15 crew members have been recovered whereas 3 crew members are still missing. Pakistan Navy and PMSA ships are also conducting search and rescue operation for the missing crew around the reported position.

Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency conducted a joint operation at 180 Nautical Miles South of Karachi and rescued crew of MV SUVARI H. The operation was carried out in the exclusive economic zone of Pakistani sea in which the cargo ship sank due to strong winds and tide.

Emergency messages were sent by the crew before sinking, the messages were received by a nearby cargo ship, MT Elan Vital, and five crew members were immediately rescued.
Upon receiving the information Pakistan Navy aircraft on air surveillance was directed to the sinking site and a PMSA aircraft and a ship were also immediately dispatched for assistance.

Pakistan Navy and PMSA aircraft initially identified eight crew members and later five more crew members were rescued with the help of a life raft. The identification of more members was reported to the nearby ship MT DESH ABHIMAAN, which rescued five more members.

So far, 15 out of 18 crew members have been rescued as a result of the efforts of Pakistan Navy and PMSA, while Pakistan Navy and PMSA are conducting search operations through ships and aircrafts to find three other members. All crew of the sunk ship belongs to Syria, the ship was carrying cargo from India to Somalia

It is the duty of the a country to respond to a distress call if the distress call emanates from a vessel insides its EEZ. In fact all ships are required to assist a vessel in distress in high seas as well.

It has been incorporated in international treaties and forms the content of a norm of customary international law. It applies both during peacetime and during wartime, albeit with the necessary adjustments to take into account the different circumstances. States are also under the duty to provide search and rescue services.

Before bashing any one you must be knowing about the person. I have been deeply studying these issue for last 20 years and I seriously disagree with you again.

My answer is still same, You need to educate yourself and please also check that what are the international rules how many times enemies helped each other even in rescuing the enemy weapons, soldiers and equipments.
