Featured Pakistan Navy prevented Indian Submarine from entering into Pakistani waters on 16th October

Good Lord, we need the 054AP's, Milgems, and submarines fast. This is becoming frequent.
Yes, i was thinking on the same lines. There are chances that some Indian submarine completed its mission un detected in past or may be in the future.

Detecting an Indian submarine does not mean that all of the incursions are detected successfully. @Rashid Mahmood @Tipu7 @Quwa

We always suspected that Scorpenes were compromised after the leak of the sensitive information. Now this incident has positively confirmed the same. Wee need to replace scorpenes on a priority.

Once located, the Pakistan Naval Air Arm aircraft possessed the means to target and destroy the intruder, yet the Pakistan Navy showed restraint. It is the third incident of its kind,

The submarine was in international waters. Territorial waters of a country are usually up to 12 nautical miles from the baseline of a coastal state.
The submarine was in Pakistan's EEZ where any other country's civilian or military ships has a right to innocent passage.

The Pakistan Navy successfully detected and located an intruding Indian attack submarine, which had crossed over into Pakistan’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) on the 16th of October, 2021.

The submarine was 110 nautical miles off the coast of Sindh. The intruding submarine was detected by Pakistan Navy surface components and their ASW helicopters before a P-3C Orion was called in which located and tracked the submarine, which was then subsequently forced to surface.
The submarine was escorted.

anybody to confirming? which type? yet?

Under water hydrophonic sensor like US had in Atlantic?

Would be super secret!

I won't speculate on the type. Will leave that to those with sources inside PN or photo experts.

And yes, the PN may have an analogous solution to the US's SOSUS. Hence the effective detection.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the navy showed "unremitting vigilance and professional competence" in ascertaining and blocking the attempted entry of the Indian vessel.

"During the prevailing security milieu, a strict monitoring watch has been kept by Pakistan Navy to safeguard maritime frontiers of Pakistan," the ISPR said.

It added that the Oct 16 incident was the third time an Indian naval submarine had been detected and tracked by the Pakistan Navy's long-range maritime patrol aircraft.

"The recent incident reflects the deplorable Indian machinations vis-à-vis commitment and resolve of Pakistan Navy to defend maritime frontiers of the motherland," the statement reads.

The last such reported incident occurred in March 2019 when the navy had detected and thwarted a similar attempted entry by an Indian submarine. "The Pakistan Navy used its specialised skills to ward off the submarine, successfully keeping it from entering Pakistani waters," a statement from the navy's spokesperson had said at the time.

Another attempt was made in November 2016 when an Indian submarine was tracked and pushed clear out of Pakistan's waters.

The UN Convention on Law of Sea does not allow a state to carry out manoeuvres or exercises in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and in the continental shelf of another coastal state without its consent. EEZ signifies an area of coastal water and seabed within a certain distance of a country's coastline that cannot be entered without permission or prior information.

The area of Pakistan's territorial waters is 12 nautical miles while its seabed territory (EEZ) grew to 290,000 square kilometres in 2015.
I must commend the actions of Pakistan navy and the hard work of our ISI agents modi jee and hawaldar Adnan samhi on their great collaboration and dillogence for Pakistan

the most important thing will data after flights now pakistanis have signature of these subs . it will help in future missions

Why not we just use miner weapons like firing with canon to damage these expensive boats ? We should atleast imply the cost for enemies for breaching our boundaries
