Pakistan, Myanmar Air Chiefs Discuss Professional Matters

ISLAMABAD: Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar Air force General Khin Aung May met Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman at Air Headquarters in Islamabad today.

They discussed professional matters of mutual interest. The visiting Commander-in-Chief was given briefing on structure and role of Pakistan Air Force.

PAKISTAN AERONAUTICAL COMPLEX KAMRA


Islamabad 21 May, 2015: General Khin Aung Myint, Commander-in-Chief (Air) Republic of the Union of Myanmar Air Force visited Air Headquarters Islamabad today.

On his arrival at Air Headquarters, the distinguished guest was received by
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented the Guard of Honour.
After reviewing the Guard of Honour, the visiting guest paid homage to the martyrs of PAF by laying floral wreath on Martyrs’ Monument . He was also introduced to the Principle Staff Officers of Pakistan Air Force. Later on, he called on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman in his office. Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest. The delegation also attended a briefing at Air Headquarters on the organization, role and functioning of Pakistan Air Force.
The Republic of the Union of Myanmar Air Force delegation is on a 04 day visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan Air Force. The delegation will visit various PAF bases and installations.

Myanmar is long said to be in talks with Pakistan for JF-17s, while I think these are simple military cooperation talks, the JF-17 may very well be brought up during these discussions.
