Pakistan misery soaring population of Pakistan is crisis or Blessing?

Hutchory i 'm really sorry yes population of pakistan is 33,740,167 according to Census of pakistan in 1951 ,i will correct it' s ty a lot . but i can send you 10 refernce which coated the population of pakistan was 37 million.

usman_112, in my opinion Myriads of Organizations can quote what they want, but the POPULATION CENSUS ORGANIZATION of PAKISTAN is the Authority in repect of Pakistan's Population Statistics.

I do not dispute 10 or may be a 100 references but, with due respect, for me the Pakistani Government Figures override the lot.

ok Might i accept urs figure and oplogise to you for giving wrong information i will correct it's .but truth is really pain full ,we must tackle that's problem urgently otherwise famine war epidemic will be our future or fate?

Population control is a flop idea which has flopped all over the world. Population is most powerful resource. Population curbing programs are in fact nothing more than distracting people from real problems and an inability to govern manage and make use of this asset in a proper way.

I doubt if it is the head that counts. It is the matter inside that IMO does.

Caveats:
(1) Following list is not intended to ruin the day of Muslim forum members who are sensitive about Jews.
In fact in this respect I count Indian billion in the same bracket as the Muslim billion.
(2) Also this list was taken from the first list i could find in google. One point I must add is that one of the respondent to the list post had brains enough to be fair to the extent he could and that is why I am posting his observations before the listed lifed from the site referred to.
(3) Also IMO the Jews mentioned here are only the ones from OEDC countries and not from the Israel. Also this list could have some wrong citations, and I would be open to better education, but at least IMO the point is clear even with a much more diluted list.
(4) This is the only time I feal quantity is just as important as quality

usman what I would say there should always be a balance otherwise the problem of aging population comes up as in case of China because of one child policy. so while designing the strategy this should also be kept in mind. Birth control is not the perfect solution.

@usman_1112 - Great perspective. Probably the best read I encountered in this site. I was thinking I made the wrong choice by associating with this Forum.
I admit my vaccilation was not warranted.

The real problem is not population but "grooming of population." What we lack is management , proper use of resources, lack of technical know how, an aggressive attitude towards corruption and ........ What the population control programs try to tell you is that this is the root of every problem we have but they will never address any of the above issues. I think there is not much weight in the single or two child argument.

The existence of other problems does not mean population growth is not a problem. We have many different issues here and need to tackle simultaneously with all of them. The 2 child program is based on the idea of population replacement rate. The two children replace their parents in future. The population would still grow slightly because improving healthcare increases age also increases. This should stabilise the population and keep it from exploding. Too large a population growth eats into the chunk of GDP growth and makes it ineffective, failing to increase GDP per capita significantly. At the current population growth rate of Pakistan, we would need to grow at around 10% in GDP annually inorder for us to become a developed nation within this century. If you have lots of patience to wait for Pakistan to develop then please go ahead and have 10 kids.:cheesy:

Due to the opening out of human settings, 16 million hectares of forest are chopped down each year. The speed of extinction of plants and animals attributable to human activities is 10,000 times faster than the natural quotient.
About 5 million people die every year from illnesses associated to organic wastes. Water necessities will increase to 20% by 2025. Approximately, one half of wetlands around the world have been lost since 1900.In USA, consumption of materials (wood, metals, synthetics, etc.) has grown 18-fold since 1900.
The Ozone layer has been gradually ruined by the effect of the CFCs. The concentration of CFCs has been increased as the human population has grown, and the thickness of the Ozone layer has been lesser to the extent that a hole in the layer has been formed. Scientists have found that there are other emissions derived from human activities, which have contributed to the depletion of the ozone layer.
Currently, the total population of 10- to 24-year-olds is estimated at 1.5 billion, of which 86 percent live in developing countries. The growth is most rapid in sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Asia.
Researchers like Lloyd and international development agencies suggest the possibility of a critical, and potentially dangerous, global generation gap as emerging adolescent populations age and their political and economic expectations rise. The World Bank's 2006 World Development Report, following up on "Growing Up Global," found:Nearly half of all unemployment in the world is among young people.500,000 young people under the age of 18 are recruited by military and paramilitary groups. Some 300,000 have been involved in armed conflict in more than 30 countries.13 million adolescents give birth each year.Young people account for nearly half of all new HIV infections.
i just want to control the problem .

The human population has grown in about 100 years from 1700 to over 6000 million people .The Ecological Footprint (EF) is a measure of the consumption of renewable natural resources by a human population. A country's EF is the total area of productive land or sea required to produce all the crops, meat, seafood, wood and fibre it consumes, to sustain its energy consumption and to give space for its infrastructure. To calculate the number of hectares available per capita, one adds up the biologically productive land per capita world-wide of arable land, pasture, forest, built-up land and sea space, excluding room for the 30 million fellow species with whom humanity shares this planet. At least 12 percent of the ecological capacity, representing all ecosystem types, should be preserved for biodiversity protection. The Living Planet Report 2008 shows that humans are currently running a huge deficit with the Earth - using over 30% more natural resources each year than can be regenerated - and this figure is growing each year.Global hectares per person. As a result, the report’s authors claim the annual ecological debt is up to US$4.5 trillion. (This figure is based on a UN report which estimates the economic value of services provided by ecosystems destroyed annually.Ecological footprint (global hectares per person-2006)0.8.
Each country has its own ecological risk profile: Many are running ecological deficits, with Footprints larger than their own biological capacity. Others depend heavily on resources from elsewhere, which are under increasing pressure.
In some areas of the world, the implications of ecological deficits can be devastating, leading to resource loss, ecosystem collapse, debt, poverty, famine and war.only the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Kuwait, Denmark and Australia have larger per capita ecological footprints than New Zealand.
Mangrove forest degration is just $50 million loss to pakistan every years,$i million loss in timber and 2.5 million loss in feed.world total oil consumption in Barrell/million per day in 2008 83 million barrel per days and in 2030 117.6.436.5% increase in oil price of world in last 5 years.2003- $25 dollar per barrel and now 2009-$was 148 dollars.20-25 millions wate is produced every year .Over 130 million mobile phones were projected for disposal internationally in 2005 = 65,000 tonnes of phone related waste. For instance, the cathode ray tube CRT) in a typical 17-inch computer , and a 27-inch television monitor contain approximately 2.2 and 8 pounds of lead respectively.

[...]
Also IMO the Jews mentioned here are only the ones from OEDC countries and not from the Israel.

There's your explanation right there.

The 'Muslims' in your post could be replaced with any of these groups: Hindus, Buddhists, blacks, hispanics, asians, desis.

They all have comparable number of individuals, and similarly 'meager' accomplishments. The only difference is that it is politically correct to be an anti-Muslim bigot but, if you had mentioned any of the other groups listed, you would be branded a racist and a bigot.

Bottom line: it is not just the individual, but their economic and cultural environment that determines success.

Yes i agree about the meager accomplishments of all the groups you mentioned. But since a focus on the exception is what provides one with inspiration/competition..... that is why I am always in envy of these Jews. In fact if we Indians could enjoy even half of what the OEDC Jews do, my god I would happily vote my one vote to give all the land your country wants from mine.

I am sorry but I cannot agree with you here. Even the Indians dont have any worthwhile image in west but here in my own country these westerners count for zilch. West or for that matter no power can hold back any given set of people howsoever the set may be defined, from living and working the way they want to. Agreed Pakistan or some other Islamic countries are a battleground these days but there are peaceful regions in the Islamic world too. Turkey, Jordan, Malaysia. Even in India there are states that have no terrorism, and populations of all these places are roughly the same as Jews still these groups dont produce as much excellence.

Bottom line: it is not just the individual, but their economic and cultural environment that determines success.

IMO the economics may not be as important after the point of middle class living, even the culture may not matter for culture is developed under the guidance of such excellance. The support of culture is primaryily meant for the average people who cannot think and do independent. Excellance will never wait for the culture to start its work. Though the present of the society would surely begin to matter esp if the challenge faced by the society is a conflict. In fact if the present of the society is geared towards allowing the natural maturation of its constituents then there should be no reason except perhaps luck for excellance to not come up.

Dekho aage kya hota hai....

where problem are heading for and how we are going to face war famine and epidemic .

Man we seem to be heading for some rough times. Uptill now all that man has done is to think and do in an anthropocentric way. The relationship with the non-human world is simply not in the mindspace. I have been laughed at when I mentioned my reservation at using Car and preference for 4-stroke bikes.

Even the bet that educated people take in the ability of humans to be able to find solutions to problems work on the assumption that problems will be recognised as such. Abhi to logon ko status symbolism jyada important lagta hai.

there are peaceful regions in the Islamic world too. Turkey, Jordan, Malaysia Adavita are you joking?
The campaign of armed violence began in 1978, the rural-based insurgency began in 1984 with the urban terrorism throughout this period in turkey, till 2009 .8,000-15,000 (3,000-3,500) in northern Iraq kurds Gurellia are battling with Military: 514,850 ,Gendarmerie: 148,700,along with Village Guards:50,000-90000. Casualties and losses turkey lost 10,000 troopes and civilian and kurds almost 40,000 killed along 14,000 captured and still5 Thousand missing.this is picture of Turkey. In 2002 Turkey had formally lifted the 15-year state of emergency in the country's Southeast and lessened the power of the military, bringing it under greater civilian control.but fighting is going between turkey and kurds rebel till 2009."The Turkish parliament has now extended the army’s mandate to bomb PKK targets in Kurdish-controlled northern Iraq, and Turkish aircraft have been doing just that. Yet the latest wave of PKK attacks has embarrassed the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and raised new questions about the army’s competence. alone in 2009 4,000 people dead in turkey between turkey and kurds fighting for a separte home land.
Jordan is in peace going to show u some fact about jordan too. Jordan's capital has long been a prime target for Al Qaeda terror strikes, both because it serves as a gateway to Iraq for U.S. workers and because terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi holds strong hatred for his homeland's rulers.
Nov. 9 2005, Amman, Jordan: Suicide bombers hit 3 American hotels, Radisson, Grand Hyatt, and Days Inn, in Amman, Jordan, killing 57. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility.Zarqawi was reined in by Al Qaeda for orchestrating suicide bombings in Jordan that were killing too many civilians,Aug. 19, 2005: Attackers fire at least three rockets from the hills above the Jordanian port city of Aqaba, with one narrowly missing a U.S. Navy ship docked in the port, another hitting close to an airport inside Israel. An Jordanian soldier is killed.Oct. 28, 2002: An American diplomat, Laurence Foley, is assassinated in front of his house, gunned down by eight pistol shots in the first such attack on a U.S. diplomat in decades. Foley was walking to his car when a gunman opened fire, jordan is undersiege till now 20,000 people are in prsion just due to belonging to AL-qEADA in JORDAN.

THERE IS NO PEACE IN MUSLIM WORLD FROM EAST TO WEST AND SOUTH TO NORTH ,EVERY ONE IN FIGHTING FOR IT'S IDEALOGY AND INTEGRITY IN MUSLIM WORLD.not a single muslim country where is peace .thanx to 9/11 and invasion of iraq bring the muslim world on the brink of third world war.
