Exellent analyse bro, when my father was in air force during 1970-85,lot of chinese come to sarghoda air base, and they have analysed Mirage !

This Analyse = perhaps link with pakistani FC-20! (delta wings)! or perhaps upgration plan?

By the way they the Chinese have much better aircraft now in service rather then to reverse engineer the 4 decades old aircraft.

And for reverse engineering, Kamra is much better which has a overhauling and rebuilt factory.

I personally think the Mirage has been given to the Chinese Museum and obviously not being airworthy it would have been transported in a cargo plane and upon arrival it's being assembled to it's original specifications.

If this plane was inducted in 1967 aka 70, its nearly 40 years old technology thats being inspected at this stage. If we believe that Chinese are studying it to learn and improve J-10s (as suggested by posts above) that means they are way behind then we expect. What do you think sir?

Chinese are sitting in Kamra, if they needed to study this aircraft, they can easily do that in Kamra in the Mirage Rebuilt factory, not by getting the aircraft in clear open in a Museum empty space parking infront of the whole world.

What are they gonna do with a 40 decade old aircraft design when they are having much better design aircrafts.

And who says they may not have peaked into the mirage before in Kamra ???

Please guys, stop making such irresponsible statements. It takes more than one or two engineers and a handful of technicians sitting around in open daylight to reverse engineer an aircraft. Reverse engineering is a very careful process, it takes days to completely "analyze" a Playstation from an engineering perspective, even though the entire thing can be opened using a screw-driver in minutes. This is an aircraft, just imagine how complex and slow that process will be. Please, I implore you to use your brains before you kick Pakistan's credibility in the nuts.

By making statements like these, you are providing Pakistan and China-haters with more fodder for the cannon. There are probably hundreds of idiots on BharatRakshak right now going "Look! look! Pakistan has given China French technology! I bet they also did it with the F-16!". All you have managed to do is give the fools "proof".

Firstly, there is no reason for us to "believe" that the "Chinese are studying it to learn and improve J-10s". However, even if they were, what's wrong with looking at an engineered article that's served well for over 40 years. Good design is good design, regardless of how old it is. There is always something one engineer can learn by looking at another engineers efforts.

But, like I said, there is no "studying" going on here. It's very clear that the engine and radars have been taken out, most likely because the airframe will be displayed inside the museum.
