I think it will be more effective for girls to carry rather than the pepper spray type things.

Pepper spray is an old technology for self defense. Taser Civilian version model C-2 is many many times more effective with a range of 15 feet. Unfortunately at present law of the Country does not allow the use by civilians.

There is a civilian version for use of civilians. However, its import and distribution is subject to the permissions by the Govt. of Pakistan. If such a permission is granted it will be made available for use of civilians for self defense. Until then only the Law Enforcement versions are available.
