That's OK. India need not pay any legal fees. Most likely its case will hold and free money is on the way. All India has to do is to wait which it had been doing anyway. Besides India can troll them by granting a bonus to its attorney.

Nizam trust do take care of the Nizam's heir and even the 173 peices of Nizam Jewellary were sold that money was distributed among all the heirs and even most of them do have properties and land all around Telangana.

Because, the money is in a Pakistani bank account. Pakistan is not related to Nizam. The basis for Pakistan's claims has no legality. It is sort of the Kashmir issue.

Pakistan's only reason for claim is that some guy who was sitting in UK at the time made the money transfer without requisite signatures. It was a fraud, except that we don't call it that when countries are involved. The Nizam came out saying the transfer had no authority. So the money now is in a different account(Paksitani) in the same bank. Pakistan cannot use the money because the ownership is not certain and any effort to determine the owner by legal process was blocked when Pakistan claimed sovereign immunity years ago.

Similar thing happened with J&K. The ruler said he acceded to India. Pakistan held some territory achieved by force and kept insisting somehow it is entitled for the rest of the state on the basis of some a supposed result of a plebiscite based on a non-binding resolution in UN.

Just like they are claiming the money today not understanding they will losing the claim along with what they already have. Like they claim J&K in its entirety without recognizing the full effects of such a claim.

Legally they have no claim to the money or to J&K. They are nominally keeping the money in account because of a fraudulent transfer, they are keeping AJK because of a similar transfer. They cannot make use of the money because the real owner has to be legally determined first for that, AJK cannot be integrated into Pakistan because it will weaken position over entire J&K, a similar conundrum.

They got greedy and went in for 35 mil pound. Now they got a kindergarten lesson from a legal firm. The cost to Pakistan now will be the legal fees of all the parties involved. Besides of course losing claim to the 35 mil.

The money is currently frozen in a bank account in UK. Pakistan claims the money is hers because the account is hers. India says the transfer to this bank account was a fraud as attested by the Nizam. But the fraud case could not be investigated as Pakistan claimed immunity(As a country, it can be prosecuted only by an international court). Now that they lost immunity by their stupidity, India's case will be heard and most likely won. Mainly because the signature which would have made the transaction valid was that of the Finance Minister/Nizam, which means it was state money. So as an heir to the Nizam, India will get the money

Yeah I know . Finance Minister without any concent of their Nizam government . Might be some sort of corruption involved . But why Pakistan is claiming for something which they don't deserve ? That's my question.
