Pakistan Is Willing To Provide All Possible Assistance for Reconstruction In Iraq
Rawalpindi–15 February, 2016
Pakistan is willing to provide all possible assistance for reconstruction in Iraq. This thought reached during a consultation of H.E. Dr. Ali Yassin Mohammad Karim, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq and Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister of Defence Production (MoDP). They exchanged views on matters of common concern and improving collaboration in defence production.
“Pakistan and Iraq have been cooperating in the field of defence, mainly encompassing exchange of defence delegations. Pakistan supports the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Iraq”, said Rana Tanveer Hussain.
Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed hope that this meeting will further enhance bilateral defence relations. Pakistan is very much willing to provide skilled and semi-skilled man power to Iraq. Dr. Ali Yassin Mohammad Karim also expressed the importance of joint ventures. He mentioned that Pakistan and Iraq shares common enemy i.e. terrorism.
Pakistan and Iraq, brotherly Muslim counties, have traditionally enjoyed cordial relations. Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Iraq. Pakistan is very much keen to further develop the existing cooperation with Iraq in all fields, including the defence sector.
