What's new

Pakistan is testing a new monster piece of mobile artillery next to the Indian border.

.
Artillery can surely give message to rulers of Kabul that Pakistan is not going to tolerate anymore crap like TTP or BLA. Till now we have act fucking pussies and didn't show any kind of intent even after APS massacre.

We all should be ashamed of ourselves.
Kabul can do nothing if they would have been able to do anything they would have defeated Afghan Taliban by now. Afghan Forces are good for nothing even if they decide they are going to fail

.
what kind of rules and regulation you are talking about?

Sweden is very restrictive in who is allowed to buy arms.
A judgement is made on a variety of issues regarding the country like stability of democracy.
Trustworthyness is another.
The shipment of the US stealth helicopter parts to China speaks against any exports.

So far, Pakistan is pretty low on the list, while a country like Indonesia would get approval.

Pakistan has been allowed to buy lower category equipment like EriEye.

But they are responsible for supporting TTP and all its factions. It is already known and documented that Kabul govt and NDS has fully supported TTP in whatever way possible.

The Afghan govt and the NDS have no control over half of their country and we have as much power in Afghanistan as the NDS themselves. There should be no doubt that Pakistan is effectively responding to the shenanigans of the Afghans and the Indians, even if we are not publicizing it.

They are in hands with TTP. They support them in all manner. To have no control is one thing but to support them is another. A lot has been written on this issue already.

Please. Yugoslavia doesn't exist. It was a Serbian system which broke its axles during tests. South African howitzer hasn't been tested, not at least from my knowledge. The French Cesar hasn't even arrived yet!
Is Caesar arriving for tests?

Bhai Sweden is dying to sell us arms. We are already using Bofors Missiles, EW planes and sooo many other things.

There are different categories of military equipment, and Pakistan may buy some, but not others.
I stated that already (EW planes == EriEye), so you bring nothing new to the party.
Surface to Air missiles like the Robot 70 used by Pakistan are have fewer restrictions
than some other weapons.

SAAB which owns the former Bofors company is always eager to sell.

The Swedish Government has to approve each sale.
Two of the three parties in the current government wants to ban ALL sales to Pakistan,
but they are smaller than the third. A ban may still occur as a result of a deal.

No problems, Chinese technology has almost caught up with swedish technology, which is readily available to Pakistan. Hi-tech US hardware is still out of our reach. Swedes are too expensive otherwise.

Facts pinch dont they ? Gripen SAAB assenbly line will be closed in 2 years if they dont get any new orders. Like a house of cards Swedish defence industry is collapsing.
Keep fantasizing!
In two years time, Gripen E deliveries will START...
There are 96 Gripen E on order, and plenty of opportunities.

The Aleksandar is just a more automated version - seems like sans the guy sitting in the back turret. Don't see anything new/upgraded to the actual gun or its engineering.

The gun is the same as the one on Nora B52 (155mm/52cal), but the gun cradle is new, different design, with new autoloader which follows the gun elevation. Nora B52 has the gun cradle similar to the one used on Soviet M46 130mm gun. This limited the rate of fire for Nora B52 to 4 rounds/min, or 5 if the first round is already loaded. Reason for this is that Nora B 52 auto loader can load the ammo only in predefined gun elevation. On the other hand, rate of fire for Aleksandar is 6 rounds/min, or 7 if the first round is already loaded. This will also raise the Aleksandar MRSI capability, for Nora B52 it was 3 rounds. Also the loading of Aleksandar autoloader, is also automatic and lasts only around 2 minutes. Crew needed to operate the howitzer is reduced from 5 to 3 members, and they are all in the front armored cabin. Weight of the howitzer is reduced from around 35t (in case of Nora B52), to around 30t. Additional optoelectronics are added for increased direct fire capabilities.

Also i talked with the main engineer on this project during the Partner 2017 arms exibition, and he told me that Aleksandar is developed acordiing to demands of the Serbian army, and Indian army tender for the new wheeled SPG.
