except volcano

I am sure there is a volcano too in Pakistan.

Pakistan offers one of the last resorts to true preserved landscape of the quest for Shangri La. The audience for tourism in Pakistan is not spring breakers or those who interest in man made skyscrapers. Apart from that Pakistan is a treasure trove of archeology, bio diversity, study of culture and arts boasting fusion of ethnic and cultural diversities.

It has a natural calling for the 70s generation of hipsters and baby boomers alike. It is a gift under protection of Allah.

Pakistan is for people with different religions, not only for Muslims.
Pakistan is primarily for Muslims. Everyone else is welcome and free to live their lives - but Pakistan was created by Muslims, for Muslims.

As for your need for extra kanjarkhana in Pakistan - keep dreaming. Just enjoy it in Norway; Pakistan will never become that kind of place, come hell or high water.

As salam o alaikum,

i hope every body is doing good i respect all of your thoughts and beliefs on this topic and felt a need to share my 2 cents , first off relegious point of view,
  • Adiy ibn Hatim, who was a Christian before accepting Islam, once came to God's Messenger, upon Him be peace and blessings. When he heard him reciting:

The Jews take their scholars (teachers of law), and the Christians take their monks, as well as the Messiah, son of Mary, for Lords beside God, whereas they were commanded to worship none but the One God. There is no deity but He. Glory be to Him, that He is infinitely exalted above that they associate partners with Him (9:31),
he said, "O Messenger of God, but they do not worship them." The Messenger replied, "Yes, but they forbid to the people what is halal and permit them what is haram, and the people obey them. This is indeed their worship of them." (Tirmidhi, "Tafsir," HN: 3292)

i guess every muslim weather practical or mere beleaver has a very good idea about Halal and haram status of the discussed topic so IMHO we should not even be discussing this topic (Just My openion that can be differed) :)

now the argument of making these things available for sake of tourism and making them permissible. when you officially make some thing permissible within the boundaries of state it means that you are making it halal for the citizens thus leaving it to individual decision, and according to the above mentioned narration one can clearly see its equally wrong and was defined as shirk.

now comes the point if we make it a social study subject. when you make a thing publically available and let masses relieved of the lawfull burden of doing such thing they will be inclined more to it (westren civilisation is clear example) and only after a generations gap this will become the norm of society as it will have no lawfull consequences (clear examples available no need to quote) so keeping in view the general behaviour of society around the world wen some thing get norm of society it becomes a necessity and nobody cares about avoiding it any more even if some one cares, it become almost impossible to avoid, i mean look at your financial system its all based on riba even every muslim does not even have the slightest of doubt about the consequences of riba but still we are inclined to do it blaming the government to declare it as legal practice. and this is only one example and many more can be quoted but i think 1 is enough to convey my point.
although you can all present hundreds of argument defying this statement but deep down every one knows what is meant here.

(please forgive for a lot of typos and spells as i am prone to it)

We have so many Afghans living in Pakistan.

So any gay club being opened would naturally attract them one way or the other.

I bet @Rusty can play bouncer in that club for the sake of his pride homeland
don't stoop to such level El Sidd sahib.
We are all friends here.

I am even going to the extent of Bridaar e Millet. A step above any friendship but you cannot cast aside normal muslim sentiments for glorification of economy.

You do not have to put a semi naked lady next to a beer to sell alcohol. Thats exploitation of both men and women. Baniyas do this we do not. We are Pakistanis. We do not aim to be a human zoo or a predators paradise.

What happened to lets all remain moderatre mantra

Common on bro, you got to be serious. Education is a requirement but open access to immorality isn't. Whoever wants to visit places like hera mandi will visit regardless, opening up such places at a mass scale isn't the solution. How would that control STDs?? A good example is gun crime in America, we hear about mass shootings every other day because a gun is so easily accessible.

My genuine question is why are you affraid of "Open"
I would rather have something open, then hidden and then used to stab me.

If we allow people do to what they are going to do anywhays, but in the open, we can then monitor them, we can tax them, we can control them.

Once it goes hideen, it becomes a involved with criminality wich then breeds criminals who are not beholden to the law.

I would solve STD in Pakistan the same way the sovled it in the west. Sex ed, with a culture of condom use.

As for guns, Japan, Australia, Canada, etc have guns but they are regulated. The solution to American guns is regulation not outright ban. None of those countries outright ban guns.

My problem is that we live in a world of eat or be eaten. We have had our butts kicked by Europeans and unless we change, we will always be slaves to them.

1.5 billion Muslims are being humiliated by 5 million jews.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to live like a slave. I want us to progress to the point where we can get our old glory back.

The only way I see forward is an open and inclusive society that allows free ideas and way of life. WIth that you get the great scientists and artists who can then battle with western forces.

Unless we have very very good and secure public transport system connecting each and every town, a good infrastructure to reach places that can only be accessed via make shift arrangements through 4x4s only, large number of hotels and other places to stay, and reputable tourism establishments arranging end to end tours at competing prices, foreign tourism is almost impossible...

Dude this does not make sense at all and then you will accuse me of trolling.

You are excluding jews from your egalitarian society. How egalitarian that will be i can so imagine?

Europeans did not kick you tushies. British did.

But atleast you admit you have a problem.

Yes, I am afraid but of my Creator. The Prophet PBUH said that don't even go close to things that lead to fornication/Zina (paraphrased). Zina comes in many forms, Zina of the eyes, Zina of hands etc. but here you want to promote all out lawlessness, let's get the next generation of this Ummah into unwanted pregnancies, lone mothers, sexual abuse related to substance use and addiction etc. Because I live in an unlawful society here in the UK, doesn't mean that I accept all practices.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)”

[al-Isra’ 17:32]

South Asians countries have huge potential to develop tourism based economy, to date it remains vastly untapped geographical area from tourism point of view and new generation tourists would certainly try to exploit something new..you can't visit the same European or american places again and again..I personally would like to visit Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan during my life time.. Bhutan is on to priority.
