India is extremely secular. Not at that level but they need to start taking steps. Like BD. Firstly separate the constitution from Islam. Then a number of issues will start resolving.

2. The building of "Hindu Rashtra" doesn't describe a Secular India. Besides, "Secular" is misapplied in India. Secular should have been keeping theism and administration very apart. However, the Modis and Owaisis of India like to keep chanting "India is secular" because the governmental understanding of Secular in India is : Allowing equally the followers of each theist religion to do all kinds of nonsense without consideration of rationality and humaneness.

Secularism can be implemented in many ways. Much like sharia laws.
I still have not formed my views on secularism in the light of Indian history and the fact that it was introduced in the constitution during emergency and without debate.

This is the problem: we followed the British multi-cultural model, as the French secularism model had not developed yet, and as the American all-absorbing model was too assimilative, too destructive of elements of individual culture to work in India.

It increasingly seems that the French model is the only way to go.

Pakistani establishment is doing what India could not have done. So relax.

It looks like generals and PDM want Pakistan to default. This will halt elections, impose financial emergency and extend assembly tenure by 2 years. In this time, with crippled country, establishment will take another stab at killing Imran Khan and disbanding PTI.

These idiots dont understand. PTI has an organic support. They can wish it, but they cant disband it.

But my worry is how much the country will suffer due to establishment going rouge and taking reckless actions. This crisis has shown establishment h as no discipline, no accountability and no mechanism to fix mistakes. Its like a raging bull.
