What's new

Pakistan is now a $300-billion economy "Growth rate hits nine-year high of 5.28pc"

how many people
exactly
in pakistan?

most recent estimates around 205+ million plus you have the undocumented afghan refugees who number in the millions. Then there are around 8 million pakistanis living abroad the 6th largest diaspora in the world (corresponding with our ranking in world populations) sadly we have not been able to use our sheer manpower to our advantage much I give kudos to you israelis in that respect. I actually agree with your previous comment- I think we set our standards very low.

If you are considering per capita or standard of living, then Pakistan already is a 1 trillion economy. I am sure, it won't be long before it joins 2 trillion club.

. . .
Very sad shape of economy in Pakistan. Pakistan need to increase its exports and lower the imports. The trade deficit is all time high.

It is so sad to see that a country of 200 million is importing so much. What is all this manpower for?

. . . . . .
While we are going in the right direction, I belive that Pakistan should, at least for now, introduce reforms and move towards what is termed as the Anglo-Saxon Economic Model, some aspects of which include:
1) Minimal regulation and taxation
2)Strong contract enforcement and property rights
3)Incentivising businesses to create jobs and encourage economic growth
4)Focusing on domestic production

Other economic policies that we could pursue include introducing a minimum wage, strong workers' rights and export oriented industrialisation.

BTW I'm new here so forgive me if I'm dumb :p

It's fantastic. It's ensured that Pakistan is doing well enough so that our nation and race doesn't have between 30-40% of the ENTIRE earth's MOST severely malnourished and extreme poor:

If the above is the reality of your race and nation, then you are not in a position to comment on Pakistan or any other nation bar india for that matter.
