US President Donald Trump said on Monday that India and Pakistan could handle their dispute over occupied Kashmir on their own, but he was there should they need him.

Trump has previously offered to mediate between India and Pakistan on the contested Himalayan region. New Delhi rejected the offer while Islamabad welcomed it.

He discussed the issue on the sidelines of a G7 summit in France with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who withdrew special autonomy for occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.

Trump said Modi told him that he had Kashmir under control.

"We spoke last night about Kashmir, prime minister really feels he has it under control. They speak with Pakistan and I'm sure that they will be able to do something that will be very good," the US president told reporters.

Modi, speaking alongside Trump, said that all issues between New Delhi and Islamabad were "bilateral in nature".

"All issues between India & Pakistan are bilateral in nature, that is why we don't bother any other country regarding them," Modi said, according to ANI.

He said India and Pakistan were together before 1947 and that he was "confident that we can discuss our problems and solve them, together".

The Indian premier also said he has told Prime Minister Imran Khan that they should work together for the welfare of their two countries.

Since India's decision to strip Kashmiris of their seven-decade-long special autonomy through a rushed presidential order earlier this month, Prime Minister Imran has repeatedly said that the Indian government's policy in the Himalayan region is in line with the "ideology" of the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) party — said to be a parent organisation of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) — that believes in "Hindu supremacy".

He has also alerted the international community to a possible "false flag operation" by the Indian leadership to "divert attention from massive human rights violations" in occupied Kashmir.

Lockdown enters fourth week
A communications blackout and heavy restrictions on movement imposed by the Indian authorities from the eve of New Delhi's decision to revoke Article 370 of its constitution entered their 22nd day today.

However, the turning of the restive region into a fortress of barricades and barbed wire has not prevented protests and clashes with security forces taking place. Police on Monday said stone-throwing protestors killed a truck driver in occupied Kashmir.

India says no civilian has died from police action since August 5. But residents have said three people have been killed, including a young mother who choked after police fired tear-gas canisters into her home.

Multiple hospital sources have told AFP at least 100 people had been hurt during the lockdown, some with firearm injuries.

Everyone copy paste of same news, Indian media reported few hours ago but something like this... Modi tells Trump that Pakistan and India will resolve issue "Bi literally" now suddenly the changed the title and story.... lol

. .

Listen @ last min Trump says "Pakistan and India resolve their own issues on their own they're capable" exactly before this statement on the question of mediation he said "yes I am here... i am here.."... this news and the title of the news is completely against the CONTEXT and statement of Trump.

True. This is the silver lining. India's narrative has also failed. But the fact remains, nobody can or will help Kashmiris apart from Pakistan.

.
From Trump to mbs, everyone is involved and 370 was already planned even before the visit of imran khan.trump fooled us during Khan visit.all they wanted is a deal for afghanistan.this is new world order where big and powerful countries continue to annex disputed or undisputed territories.it was well planned well executed.india didn't take Kashmir decision all by herself.israel made it possible.trump is like a representative for Israel and Bolton and pompeo, both wanted revenge from Pakistan for useless afghan mess.

Look at our prime minister speech today.he is repeating same words since abrogation of 370. They hit us very hard.it is a combined operation and planning done by several countries including America, Israel,India, Russia and saudia Arabia.

I think it's over for us.no need to talk about UN now.i don't understand what Imran Khan wants.it is clear to every pakistani that nobody will intervene.through diplomacy,India has successfully made our friends our enemies.money is everything.they already have Israeli and american Congress support.even if they attack pakistan, nobody will intervene.now India have countries behind her back and full support.

Nothing will happen when they lift the curfew.even if they kill people, nobody will even ask.israel wants end of pakistan.both Israel and India is playing a very big game.

Bro, you have a valid point but Afghanistan have nothing to do with Kashmir. Even Afghan Taliban have officially stated that these two issues are not to be interlinked.

Afghanistan is important to sort out because Pakistan cannot concentrate on two fronts for indefinite period. If WE are to do something about Kashmir, our Eastern borders must be secure.

Bro, I second you. All I meant to say is that we shouldnt let USA use us in piece talk with Taliban and keep us making fool that it will mediate Kashmir issue, specially Trump (atm he think of himself streetsmart).

I also second you that we cant continue to focus and deploy our troops on border with Afghanistan, but how certain are we that RAW, NDS & CIA will stop spreading unrest and attack through Afg border? Remember the recent blast in the mosque in Baluchistan?

I might be wrong, but I believe India will continue its proxy via Afghanistan and use its soil to attack us whenever we raise our voice for Kashmiri and try to do something for them.

President Trump isn’t for pampering cry babies!!! Nobody should run to the Uncle for their failures!!!! No amount of lobby money can change this fact!!! If you’re men enough fight it out....

Today's speech will tell us a lot... is PM IK is just a man of words or actions... Is he Bahadur Shah Zafar or Tipu Sultan.
But we should remember, he is not the king. He is democratically elected PM... So is nation ready for the consequences? Will they whine and cry or be patient and stead fast?
When you have Muhammed bin Kasims, Sultan Mahmuts, Ghoris, Aybeks, Baburs, EbdAlis, Jinnahs etc. -all ultimate winners - why do you need Tipu Sultan?!?!?

.
here goes our diplomacy down the drain
Diplomacy. Only works with a hard core military action, which pakistan is lacking in IOK, time has come for a great realization if any issue like kashmir could hve been resolved with diplomacy and so called peaceful protests thn, Palestine would hve been freed a long time ago?
Palestine presents a viable case study to all of issues , Tht untill u don't hve usefull military action on the ground this world won't be bothering to do anything meaning full?
So kashmir and kashmiris should be supported by all means and it includes a military tool, training, and giving them a good millitray aid, in which thy should be provided a class of weaponry which makes difference in IOK, only thn Indian racists, RSS back modi govt may come to dialogue, and Kashmir should be made a home of all freedom movements in India, be it khalistan, or Nagaland

Cause non of above proved tht thy can win just by talking with enemy?
Evn Quaid E azam been fooled and not given the real pakistan which he wanted?
And Kashmir was it's best example where quaid E azam himself went for a military action?

.
This is the official go ahead by POTUS for Pakistan to nuke India into submission.

Pakistan's hands are tied as Nazi Modi-stan plan extermination of Pakistanis from their ''reich'' or '' Varsch''.
Our strategy is clear...keep the global public & social media aware of the gross human rights violations and pump in freedom fighters...when india cries bloody murder like a butthurt little b!tch, we'll just say "what did you expect? Kashmiris are rebelling...BILATERAL ISSUE, so mind your own bee's wax".

This is gonna get interesting...VERY interesting...

A most fascinating point you've raised.

Why are we being that there are only two options - glorious defeat - albeit defeat (tipu sultan) or humiliating defeat (Bahadur Shah Zafar). Why is a victory not being presented as a possible outcome?

The fact that PMIK and the military leadership presented only tgese two options gives a glimps into their line of thinking. They seem to have accepted defeat right from the start, it seems.

That is why in almost all of the press statements and speeches the talk has been 'to the last drop of blood'.

I pray Allah grants us leadership similar to those mentioned in the Quran:

But those who knew with certainty that they were to meet their Lord, said: "How often a small group overcame a mighty host by Allah's Leave?" And Allah is with As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). (Quran 2:249)

I hope our leadership is working on a deeper strategy for victory and these statements are part of a deception campaign. I hope they too understand, as you say brother, without Qurban there is no value to Dava.

Because we don't want to present ourselves as "invaders"...YET! Jinnah was not involved in a war but aside from him, all the other names mentioned were INVADERS while Tipu was a defender. Pakistan does not want to present itself as an invader JUST yet...WE will, just not yet.
