Pakistan increasing Army Size ???

Active troops size of both countries india and pakistan.

India= 12 lakhs 30 thousand [1.23 Million]
Pakistan= 6 Lakhs after recent increase. [0.6 Million]

so its not too bad. we are just fighting an army twice our size. Muslims Armies have faught armies 10x bigger and won in history even without proper weapons. Pakistan is very very powerful.

We need a division of cooks to cook daal for the Indian army prisoners, from experience of previous wars when the Indians fight on the western border they surrender in droves when the bullets start flying.

When answering questions if I am right Maj General Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan is raising new troops. I think both Army and Para Military size is being increased.
Under NACTA , govt has to raise 7 or 9 brigades to secure Iran-Afghanistan border. It was long due. Plus, new deployment for KSA for King security .

4th Pakistan Battalion at PMA, Kakul.

The Army wanted more officers since it was raising 34 Light Infantry Div and 9x Light Commando Battalions.

Huge losses were also suffered by Army in its COIN campaign.
Shortage of 7-8000 officers in PA.

The Infantry is already large enough. Armour is the branch where weakness is apparent.
Emphasis is still on Light Forces which you have mentioned already.

I guess the need of the day is 2 years mandatory army services by male student on border front and training and female in support services ...

This is our muslim tradition and need of the day ...

Compare both militaries reserves...

a similar question was raised in yesterday's press briefing, the DG ISPR was clearly against anything like it. and for good reason too, the army suffered when people trained by NCC turned against the state. they are still afraid of raising and arming militias, i dont think mandatory service or something like NCC will ever be re-introduced.

why not agile and mobile, rapid strike combined arms force?

Paramilitary needed for the Western Front, elsewhere pretty fine for now, except if we're raising a new Mechanized Formation in the East.

It was not NCC that turned people against army ... Infact NCC will raise patriotisim ...

Shortage was always there, new raisings & WoT aggravated it further.

Raising light forces (34 LID, LCBs) is cost effective since no investment is required in MBTs, APC/IFVs and artillery guns.

However, the LCBs are expected to mirror IA Para in future.

except if we're raising a new Mechanized Formation in the East.

31 Corps is raising a new IABG, will take a year or two to be fully operational.

Lol, you misunderstood. It was NCC that provided training that could later be used against the army. People trained by the ncc didnt not need a whole of additional training to fight against the police, paramilitary and militias. they were ready to fight as is.

Thanks for the correction ... Exactly , NCC was a positive step and I think we should restart it infact we should take it to the next like Israel where they have 2 years of mandatory service in armed forces which is not just limited to training ...

Army LID is the only increase, which is for security of CPEC, the raising of FC for Balochistan and KPK is for border management.
So there is increase but how much...?
