LAHORE- An idea conceived by slain Governor Salmaan Taseer to project a softer image of Pakistan abroad has been materialized in the from of a website which can now be visited to know all about Pakistan and its people.

This is the first comprehensive website () containing almost every information a foreigner may like to know about Pakistan, its art and literature, architecture, festivals and culture etc.

The launch ceremony of this new web portal, portrayed as “Heart of Asia”, was held the other day at Governor House, co-chaired by Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and PPP’s Secretary Information, Qamar Zaman Kaira.

Though the idea behind this effort is to project a softer and true image of the country abroad, the new website is a complete guide about Pakistan’s landscapes, tourism, monuments, sports, fashion, performing arts, music and other information many may want to know.
“If any foreign investor, student, overseas Pakistani or anyone else wanted to know about Pakistan, this web portal will provide him with the required credible information”, said Latif Khosa while addressing the ceremony.

The videos are great. I especially like the second video. Great production quality and music. But I am not sure about the caption or the logo. The caption "heart of Asia" in my opinion does not suit Pakistan. And the logo looks like it is for a hospital.

Pakistan is the converging point for 3 Asias:
1.Central Asia
2.West Asia(middle east)
3.South Asia

However,it doesn't have all the all Asian cultures like say Malaysia does

asia is very large continent with many cultures, traditions & religions. so one single country cannot be heard of asia, infact in case of asia there should be 3-4 hearts.
