Pakistan has the worst economy in Asia-Pacific region: Report

@karan21. dear i think you have zero or no knowledge about pakistan, atleast your 6000km crap highways comments shows that you know nothing about pakistan for sure. come and visit pakistan and travel via road and you would feel the difference.

No infra?really?care to show me indian infra?

Lets start with your incompetence. Railways, India has an extensive network with metros in several cities. India manufacture its own trains and even exports them. On the flip side your country cannot even maintain locos it buys from other countries.

We have atleast 3 airports that are listed among the world's best. You have zero!

and care to read about adam motors as well.beside this Saigul group is about to buy the plant again and run it again
confirms that we have the capability.bt lack of govt support to people like feroz khan has turned the company down

Confirms nothing. Adam motors imported kits and assembled them in Pakistan. It was a start but even there your incompetence was brought to the fore with flimsy quality. may I add the Revo ran with a Chinese engine. So You still have no capabilities when it comes to manufacturing. You should have given a better example of tractors. Pakistan does indeed manufacture decent ones. You must e kidding when you attempt to compare yourself to India when it comes to automobiles.

pakistan does has some great manufacturing companies.and they are doing some great projects

Name one engineering product that is famous all over the world that is made in pakistan. Even a watch will do

hit by corruoption
Add incompetence and a large uneducated population to it

sometime you ahead and sometime we

if only it was that simple

dont start di*k measuring competition here now Pakistan do have railway production facility at risal pur

Pakistan Locomotive Factory, Risalpur

The Pakistan Locomotive Factory at Risalpur, a public spread on an area of 251 acres (102 ha), was put into service in 1993 with the collaboration of Government of Japan at a total cost of Rs.2284.00 million, including a foreign exchange component of Rs.1496.00 million. The factory can produce two diesel-electric locomotives per month on single-shift basis, but this can be doubled by introducing a second working shift. The factory is equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment which can be employed in the building of diesel-electric locomotives of suitable horsepower, as well as electric locomotives with minor adjustments.
Since 1993, twenty three PHA-20 type 2,000 hp (1,491 kW) diesel-electric locomotives have rolled out of the factory. The ongoing project of 3,000 hp (2,237 kW) AGE-30 diesel-electric locomotives is at the verge of its completion, which is a milestone in the history of the factory.[22] Apart from manufacturing new locomotives, the Pakistan Locomotive Factory has also successfully rehabilitated five diesel-electric locomotives of GRU-20 Type and manufactured other various spares/components for railway maintenance divisions and rehabilitation projects.

and i accept it its incompetence of our corrupt leadership which destroyed pakistan railway ,

you said in your earlier post we dont have infrastructure .. dude come on our road infrastructure is way ahead of yours you need years to come to pakistan's road standards we have series of motor ways connecting our major cities . and your said we dont have express ways in pakistan  you need to be updated dear .

this pic should help you out

@aks18 Risalpur was design to build just 24 engines/year which is defunct now, Pakistan Railway operate or manufacture no electric engines.

Since your railway was neglected in Pakistan, there is more pressure on roadways. Except few hundred km of motorways, Pakistani roads are just normal. Infact per person paved road avaibility is much more in India than Pakistan.

Hate when people compare India with Pak, especially people like riazhaq lol. He comes in with same facts and figures like povery, hunger :blah::blah:

Pakistan is a country that has 0 infra. No metros, monorails, expressways, only 6000km of crap highways. You service sector is tiny while India exports more than 100 bill( more than entire Pak's trade with world  ). We manufacture over 20 million vehicles in a year. With 6 million being cars, will be 3rd largest by 2015. Pakistanis love imported cars .

We produce our own power equipment including super critical broilers, nuclear plants, while Pakistan needs everything imported. Can't manufacture even pvc cables.

Now Indian new electronics policy is approves which just like auto sector will make India a manufacturing zone for electronics.

We are capable of undertaking some of the world most complex civil engineering projects, airports and rails. Lucknow airport looks better and is bigger than the under cons Lahore airport a fact.

Out electricity production is over 12 times Pak. Another 80000MW is under cons as we are talking here.

What are we comparing here?? India has already gone ahead in some fields like space launches, services, defence equipment, manufacturing where we are now competing with the world while Pakistan is yet to begin or is noobie. No wonder they are world's worst economy.

Riaq haq saab if you Pakistan was so rich and consuming why companies don't line up in Pak while do that in India in every sector.

And you should also remember that you are 6-7 times larger in population as well, so on per person basis we are more or less at the same equation...... but yes i accept you that you are growing and faster than most of the other economies in the region, but your growth story is not reaching each and every state accept for few states that are experiencing the boom.

when ever pakistan towed american line, it suffered the worst of every thing

but from 90s to 2000 pakistan was much better and it was the time when it suffered american sanctions and all

No you are wrong.

In the 1980's our economy was growing.

It contracted in the 1990's and we almost defaulted on our loans.

It grew again in the 2000's

And now in 2010's its shrinking again due to the bone headed civlian government running the place.

So the pattern is, when we have a military dictatorship, our economy grows and when we have civilian leadership our economy shrinks.

Yes population 6-7 times but all factors relating to infrastructure are 10-12 times better. GDP growth is uneven but more in less prosperous states of India many of them having GDP growth more than 10%.

We only have eletric railway track up to lahore to khanewal and major requirements were of diesel engines and risalpur railways works started producing the engines but due to corrupt government nd lack of maintenance we could nt manage the railway system not only railway almost every department of govt is running like railway of pakistan ..

the map i have posted before of road network each and every road is paved road and connects all major cities and small cities pakistan's major portion of population lives in upper punjab region and Kpk area + karachi and hyderabad region ,,, come on dude pakistan is not a vast land now you comparing sizes of motorways and roads lol

as some Pakistani mentioned sanctions are the reason of our progress.
i give you one example:
yesterday importing car from outside became forbiden (or atleast became very hard).in the other hand IRAN KHODRO increases exporting car to the world since last month....so what does it mean???yes it mean better GDP....the less import the the most export, the better GDP!
best of luck to Pakistan.hope work more on your relation with China.you should learn lesson from them in economy.

That means railways is highly neglected sector even with an engine manufacturing plant. Pakistan could not add even a single new engine in the railway fleet in past 3-4 years while you could easily have added about 100 engines.

Yes, we don't have motorways in India, we call it expressways. But you didn't get my comment, per person paved road availability in India is almost twice than Pakistan. ;)

not to mention the greatest fighter jet production project, LCA tejas. or the world record for slums, or infant mortality rate even more than African countries. i mean come on, do u see the world with the eyes of a normal person? always full of prejudice and ignorance.

Sad you only have 942 Km express way which is operational ( just few hundread Km Expressways in such a huge country ) that too is divided in between different chunks of 10 km 15 km 40 km lol  as per paved road availability india is ahead than many nations which have way better and quality road network this standard doesnt verfies that india have better road infrastructure than pakistan its about quality not quantity :D

Do you know Golden quadrilateral and North-South-East-West expressways and their length. :enjoy:

yes i know its just a 4 lane ordinary road like we have roads in pakistan nothing impressive in it like motorways of pakistan :D .

Karan, all things aside, Pakistani roadways are better than ours. They don't have length of roads because Pakistan is a small country. But the quality of highways and density is better than ours.

This is simply because Pakistan was heavily influenced by US in the initial years, and the road building caught on. Their Army also needs excellent highways for faster mobilization. Infact the entire Pakistani defence rests on being able to move faster than the Indians can, so the PA has made sure that their highways are world class.

Couple this with the fact that till 1999 India did not even focus properly on roadways and expressways. The road building boom in India started only then, Pakistan has been at it for far longer than us. This was a largely ignored aspect of nation building before that.

So their trunk infrastructure of roadways is better than ours today.

That being said, with our current pace of improvement and development, within the decade our roadways should exceed the Pakistani development till then. The problem for us is that since roads were never given priority, they were always smaller and cities/towns developed around them. Today they are almost impossible to widen.

Couple that with the heavy demand in India. India produces and consumes vehicles exponentially more than Pakistan, so the demand/load on the infrastructure is much higher.

How do you know did you drive on it,:cheesy: I have a drive on them, they are million times better than ordinary roads.
